What a pleasure to welcome head honcho behind Acmé (@acme-music-es) & Third Stream imprints Alex Font(@alexfont).

A killer performance, ranging from housey minimal tracks to acid blasting electro!

Alex is a musician, producer and DJ, born and based in the mediterranean side of Valencia, Spain.

He started his musical career back in 2000, buying his first records and playing them in intimate venues around Valencia. Four years later he started playing at the cities top venues: Barraca, Puzzle, Guru and Queen (where he was resident DJ for a few years).
 
Strongly influenced by Latin-American music and Jazz, Font has created a sound blending these influences with Minimal and House music.

In 2015 Alex created Acmé, a vinyl only label that quickly gained notoriety in the minimal-house underground scene, supported and played by legends like Ricardo Villalobos, Rhadoo, Cabanne and Ohm Hourani to name a few.

'Music They Love'... we ask DJ's and producers to delve into their collection and put together a selection of records that have meant a lot to them in the past, as well as the present. All things inspirational and influential - the records which have shaped their sound as a producer or selection as a DJ.

Up next is Berlin-based producer & DJ @amydabbs, who had this to say about her mix:

'It was great to crate dig through my record collection again to put this mix together. I was buying records like these back in the early 00s, which really formed the basis of my house music education. These artists and labels featured prominently in the weekly haul I used to get from London record stores back then, and their sound has inspired and shaped my own productions and sets today.

The only new track I included is my forthcoming release, No More Distractions, which is probably the track of mine most heavily influenced by this era. I hope you enjoy the mix!'
