The idea behind the Impact collection is to highlight the dance floor's importance as a place for creative thinking, sexual liberation and multicultural amplification. This was brought into sharp relief during lockdown when Jorkes and Lisa Jäger had to cancel their HOT all-gender sauna parties in Vienna. It left them and their community with nowhere to go and gave rise to ‘Impact’, as well as discussions at the WAF Galerie that Lisa co-curates. Each volume has come in tandem with its own talk with subjects including 'clubs as places for freedom and emancipation.'

This final volume opens up with Rotciv. He is well known to heady crowds at places like Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson and the Cocktail D’Amore parties, and also runs the Mister Mistery label when he blends acid, techno, electro and disco. 'Dirty Coast' is a rugged and twisted dark disco stomper with flashes of synth, gurgling bass and trippy electronics.

Stefan Haag aka Chinaski aka S-F-X is a sound and visual artist, a resident at Robert Johnson and a regular on the Frankfurt club's own imprint. His excellent 'Power, Flower, Violence and Shower' shoots for the stars with its cosmic synth rays, colourful disco arps and elastic bass ensuring you move every bone in your body.

Born in Rome, now based in Florence, Matisa has long been attuned to the intersection of music and style and has shown it in her music on labels like Optimo Music, Biologic Records and Butter Sessions. Her 'Supernova' is a supersized track with big piano chords, techno drums and chopped-up vocals all bringing the party.

Mexico's Zombies In Miami are label regulars and live artists with a dark and alluring club sound. With 'One More Time' they take the dance floor on a widescreen trip to the cosmos with rugged basslines, chattery claps uplifting old-school chords.

Last of all comes another friend of the label in Vienna-based Greek artist NIKKNAME who alongside Jorkes has released on Curses’ Ombra INTL label. His nine-minute futuristic masterclass 'Seeing Morphs' layers up serene chords and smooth grooves that are ripe for introspection as well as heads-down dancing.
This fantastic final instalment completes the vital Impact series in style and once again comes with artwork from Daniel Rajcsanyi.

PREMIERE: Zombies In Miami - One More Time [Freeride Millenium]

Spontaneity unsettled her, she liked to know what her day had in store for her; her entire life come to think of it. She'd tried her hand at new experiences; leaving everything at the drop of a hat and taking off somewhere distant; donning a fresh haircut; trialling a different vocation or hobby - it didn't suit her though. Her preference was to have things mapped out for, that way there'd be no surprises. 

For over two decades Robi Insinna has been releasing music and helming Relish Recordings, his label indebted to off kilter post-punk, new wave and disco. Under his name, and his moniker Headman, he's crafted his own take on these sounds, largely underpinned by trademark bass lines and an analog rawness. These traits are all there on his new single, 'No Surprises', which is the first to be taken off his new LP. There's a nod to the sounds of 80's NYC through its machine funk aesthetic and raw synthesis, while on the flip there's a remix from Making Time and Optimo affiliates Zillas On Acid who steer the track down a dark chugging path.

Here at Feed Your Head HQ are pleased to have been asked to premier this absolute sonic bomb of track forthcoming on the wonderful Innnisfallen label.

Enjanzea2, a duo formed by Javier Rascan and Ricardo Jain from Chihuahua Mexico lands on the 4th edition of our Innisfallen Series. The project's proposal travels between acid and spatial monophonic sounds, inspired by techno, house and electro. This great piece wouldn't be here without Ruary's hand which gathered all of these electronic elements together in "Pazuzu."

The EP includes two interesting remixes, one by Javier Ferrera, a multi-instrumentalist and music producer widely recognized for his energetic and rhythmic productions within his already distinguished sound range.

Cantor, a San Francisco-based musician and producer, contributes a production inspired by Detroit techno, punk, and new wave rhythms, which, combined with acid, string chaos, and broken cymbals, creates a unique piece that perfectly complements Vongold's already beloved vocals.

Bordello A Parigi’s latest release brings together two heavyweights for something particularly special. Aroy Dee, founder of M>O>S Recordings, has been at the coalface of machine music for more than twenty years; Marco Antonio Spaventi, an exceptional composer with over a decade’s experience. The pair offered the tear-stained vocoder ballad of “Desire” two years back, now they return for “Sorrow.” Crisp rhythms and considered synth scales form the bedrock from which J.C.’s emotion wrung lyrics ensnare. A tale of lovelorn pain, a psychological journey of lamentations and mistakes, the track adopts the heartache of wave romance and contrasts it with clean musical lines. The “Space Dub” of the flip transforms those powerful lyrics to give space for brightness to enter. Cascading chords and sunlight break through as arpeggio quivers introduce vocoder vocals in this superb re-interpretation that balances warmth with frigid shades.
