Breakbeat Paradise Recordings is proud to present a true nu funk legend DJ Kid Stretch with his new EP named Get it on the Floor. Kid Stretch has returned stronger than ever with his signature disco breaks, that he used to drop on labels like Good Groove Records some years back! Get It On The Floor EP contains the title track and 3 remixes from some of the best the world of ghetto funk and breaks has to offer.  With remixes from Robinson Grooves, Jimi Needles and Ghetto Funk favourite BadboE this is sure to be a hit, especially with disco heads!

Former Greek DMC Champ DJ/Producer Kid Stretch has started his musical journey as a DJ in 1997. His musical influences are mostly hip hop, funk, disco and soul music and this EP promises to be no different. Incorporating Hip-Hop, late 70s disco and heavy beats and basslines this is a crown pleaser covering all bases with big remixes sure to please any Ghetto tastes.

A.       Get it on the Floor (Original Mix).  Kicking off with a bang and sweet sounding homemade funk drums it drops right into the world of mixing hip-hop vocals with classic disco-soul sounds. Combining effortlessly, these tunes almost belong together.  Definitely one of those grooves that producers will hope they used first.  Expect horns, big beats, cowbells, a hint of 90s house and much more to keep you noticing something new each time you hear it!!

B.      Get it on the Floor (BadboE Remix). The first remix of the title track, BadboE’s big heavy ghetto beats and rolling ghetto funk basslines,sidechained to the max are ever present. Filtered and phased disco reverberates alongside the swollen bass and strings to give you that distinct BadboE sound we are all accustomed to. Expect to sing along and stomp your feet!

C.      Get it on the Floor (Robinson Grooves Remix). Slowing down this remix from Robinson Grooves heads in a slightly different direction. Sounding like a ghetto 90s jam more than ghetto funk breaks or disco this is flipped upside its head. Funk guitar, bongos and organ come together for another immediate favourite. Expect barking and air guitar! RUUFFFF!!

D.      Get it on the Floor (Jimi Needles Re-Rub). Jimis Rerub takes this remix down to chills town. An almost psychedelic trippy feel to this sends you to a happy relaxed place, far removed from the original and the other 2 remixes. Expect closed eyes and a lazy almost horizontal body for this beauty.

Here is a new Northern Soul track I’ve written with my Dad called ‘Take All Your Lovin’ And Run’ with fantastic Lulu-esque singer, Sarah Collins. Sarah and I met by chance at last year’s BBC ‘Make A Difference’ awards, where I was a judge and handed out an award, and Sarah had a halftime singing slot. She had a bit of fame last year, as she had overcome a brain tumour, and unbeknown to her, it was arranged that she would perform at the London Palladium on the Michael McKintyre Big Show on BBC TV with American singer, LeAnn Rimes! We’ve had early support from my pal Craig Charles on his BBC6 Afternoon and Funk & Soul shows and from a number of well-known DJ's -  hope you like it!

New.....Album.....On.....It's......Way

So.. what I'm currently doing is producing tracks for my next album, this will be the album that should have followed La Roc Rocs. 
The collapse of "Big Beat" being "cool" .. circumstance, life, children, divorce and a whole load of other "stuff" clouded me artistically and whilst still being relatively active, I lost my way a little. 

Anyway... better days.. 

Here we are, I'm excited. I've clawed back the real "me" I've a LOT of new tracks on the go and the LP is sounding great so far.

The tracks i've started posting on Soundcloud recently with "familiar" vocals are my sketch pad of what is to come. It'll definitely be a hotch potch of styles/flavours/bpm's, I'm just writing from my heart regardless of what's currently cool musically. If you are an artist that would like to work on a particular track with me.. get in touch, I'm open and flexible musically, if you vibe with it and feel you have something to bring, let's try it.

Founded by Boe Pedersen (Dj BadboE) in Denmark, and now based in Florida. The label originates from the music website Breakbeat Paradise that has been running since 1996. Breakbeat Paradise is dedicated to breakers and electronic musicians within the style of music that we can loosely term as breakbeat. Developing and improving this website over the last 10 years to include everything from visitor music sharing, annual breakbeat contests, samplekits and discussion forum. We felt that going into digital music distribution would be a natural next step.

The music material on the Breakbeat Paradise website has over 1000 pieces of music. Breakbeat Paradise Recordings will  pick up the very best  “cream of the crop”, artists  and tunes and release them as digital downloads through Breakbeat Paradise Recordings  collaborative partners . We found digital distribution would match perfect with our cutting-edge funky breakbeat music and the fastest way from  the streets – to the listener and dancefloor!

With only exclusive vinyl and digital releases , we are always focused on the most important thing for us – the music! 

The music will span from traditional nu funk and funky breaks to more dancefloor oriented ghetto funk,  future funk and big beat as well as hip hop with a glitch and the more mellow side of the drum ‘n’ bass and nu breaks. The sound of Breakbeat Paradise is driven by an emphatic beat that is intended to form a leitmotif between the releases.

Even though releases from Breakbeat Paradise will be coming from different artists, we always uniform a sound by focusing within the genres of breakbeat.  Collaborators and musicians work close together on our label and we are always ensuring a brand of selective “state of the art“, quality and sound .

We will devote ourselves to deliver the phattest, funkiest and the biggest grooves to be found out there...
