Unity, what does it mean to Cockney Nutjob and Kurnel MC? Unit E was the ward @kurnelmc was put in after he broke his elbow raving. Unity is the undivided togetherness @cockneynutjob feels while caressing a cheese burger at a festival. 

Either way, we can agree it means coming together as one. Which is what’s happened on this historic slab of good times for your ear holes. 

@cockneynutjob and @kurnelmc have been working together for a good portion of their musical journey. Both dip in and out of personal projects, but one things for sure. If you’re at a festival and you hear wobbly Reggae and an enthusiastic kiwi with honey in his voice? You’ve stumbled across the duo.

Unity - The title joint and a true pace setter for the project. Picture yourself in a festival tent, five wines too many, hazy from the jazz fag some one recently passed to you. Jumping up and down high fiving homies to the militant reggae stomp accompanied by belly shaking bass while Kurnel keeps your hands in the air!

Drenched - we remain on the party vibe and the consistent reggae sampled, synth bass back drop. The boys ensure you have your togs on and are willing to let all your hairs hang out in the deep end while they provide entertainment and keep on the wrong side of the lifeguard. 

Parents anthem - Right it’s out the pool and on the piss. Both the lads are family men and have escaped for the night. They have more than one thing in their sights. Grog, late night mystery meat from abra-kebabra and some questionable Dad dancing. Either way this slab of audio doner meat is a theme all parents can get down to!
 
Get it - Finishing the package on a high. Continuing the theme of reggae and wobbles that distinguishes these two gentlemen. Kurnel points out that even if it’s sleep for dinner and the electrics packed in. As long as you have good friends, good vibes and dope music the rest will fall into place.

The Freefall project takes on the current pandemic situation and twists it into a steady rocking funky hip-hop phenomenon. Kenny Beeper is laying the ground-work with a super catchy low-slung funky groove and MC Shureshock does he thing by bringing the vibes and funky flow &ndash; while Snuze comes in with some rapid funky rhymes. Founded by Boe Pedersen (Dj BadboE) in Denmark, and now based in Florida. The label originates from the music website Breakbeat Paradise that has been running since 1996. Breakbeat Paradise is dedicated to breakers and electronic musicians within the style of music that we can loosely term as breakbeat. Developing and improving this website over the last 10 years to include everything from visitor music sharing, annual breakbeat contests, samplekits and discussion forum. We felt that going into digital music distribution would be a natural next step.

The music material on the Breakbeat Paradise website has over 1000 pieces of music. Breakbeat Paradise Recordings will  pick up the very best  “cream of the crop”, artists  and tunes and release them as digital downloads through Breakbeat Paradise Recordings  collaborative partners . We found digital distribution would match perfect with our cutting-edge funky breakbeat music and the fastest way from  the streets – to the listener and dancefloor!

With only exclusive vinyl and digital releases , we are always focused on the most important thing for us – the music! 

The music will span from traditional nu funk and funky breaks to more dancefloor oriented ghetto funk,  future funk and big beat as well as hip hop with a glitch and the more mellow side of the drum ‘n’ bass and nu breaks. The sound of Breakbeat Paradise is driven by an emphatic beat that is intended to form a leitmotif between the releases.

Even though releases from Breakbeat Paradise will be coming from different artists, we always uniform a sound by focusing within the genres of breakbeat.  Collaborators and musicians work close together on our label and we are always ensuring a brand of selective “state of the art“, quality and sound .
