BadboE is back on Breakbeat Paradise Recordings with a groovy funk jam called Hard Times, which comes with 3 remixes from Suckaside, Baxta & Boydex and Gramophone Soul. This is the first original EP from BadboE since 2017 where he dropped his Get You Boogie On EP on Bombstrikes and the Under The Spell EP right here on BBP.

It’s been a little over 2 years since BadboE picked up a long-forgotten funky 45 and started turning it into a ghetto funk banger. The back-to-the-roots concept of this track takes a more laid-back – all oldskool funk approach and leaves the bass action for the remixes.

The original vocals plays a center price on this track and shows how the “Hard Times” from the early 70s is very much still here in 2023!    

The EP kicks off with BadboE’s original mid-tempo cut which has a play with a jazzy saxophone riff and steady rocky ghetto funk beat. 

Suckaside aka DJ B-Side and Sucka Timmy amplifies the oldskool hip hop vibes on their remix which leave room for the vocal to shine in with some raggae riffs to back it up.

New to the scene Baxta has teamed up with Boydex and decided to bring the track into the new decade with a bassy but yet funky remix.

Finally Grammophone Soul who just finished up his full-length album called Soul Revolution, turned the party vibes up high with a funky house remix of Hard Times.

Breakbeat Paradise Recordings has teamed up with hip-hop legend Paul Sitter who has gather some of dopest MCs on the planet to feature on the epic LP: Hip-Hip Delivery.The LP is a celebration to the oldskool hiphop vibes that started it all by cutting and scratching up the classic funk record, twisted in a brand-new way with MCs from around the world dropping fire on the mic.
Starting out with the intoxicating Global Chremistry with Craig G and some big funky grooves. Moving on to the Go Move featuring the awesome Andy Cooper on a smooth boom bap joint. The classic Wild Thing gets a oldskool hiphop twist with some big rhymes by Birdapres and cuts by DJ N-Tone. The breaks are about to get serious as Chrome drops some high paced rhymes on the Who&rsquo;s Nice Kid track. Hailing from Germany with releases on labels such as Sondae, Westwood Recordings or Beat Art Department, Mined Music carries on the foundation of the musical direction where they left off and adding his personal signature to the sound - making ’Thief Of The Night’ to be deep hip-hop monster of a tune. Amvis on the vocals provides the proper quality flow fitting to the slower pace of the original.

No release on BBP Recordings would be full without some serious bass action, so Lack Jemmon is here to deliver! Their tunes and remixes already enjoy the key support of artists such as Stickybuds, Funk Hunters or Hong Kong Ping Pong and this remix work here on the EP will be just another festival banger. Founded by Boe Pedersen (Dj BadboE) in Denmark, and now based in Florida. The label originates from the music website Breakbeat Paradise that has been running since 1996. Breakbeat Paradise is dedicated to breakers and electronic musicians within the style of music that we can loosely term as breakbeat. Developing and improving this website over the last 10 years to include everything from visitor music sharing, annual breakbeat contests, samplekits and discussion forum. We felt that going into digital music distribution would be a natural next step.

The music material on the Breakbeat Paradise website has over 1000 pieces of music. Breakbeat Paradise Recordings will  pick up the very best  “cream of the crop”, artists  and tunes and release them as digital downloads through Breakbeat Paradise Recordings  collaborative partners . We found digital distribution would match perfect with our cutting-edge funky breakbeat music and the fastest way from  the streets – to the listener and dancefloor!

With only exclusive vinyl and digital releases , we are always focused on the most important thing for us – the music! 

The music will span from traditional nu funk and funky breaks to more dancefloor oriented ghetto funk,  future funk and big beat as well as hip hop with a glitch and the more mellow side of the drum ‘n’ bass and nu breaks. The sound of Breakbeat Paradise is driven by an emphatic beat that is intended to form a leitmotif between the releases.

Even though releases from Breakbeat Paradise will be coming from different artists, we always uniform a sound by focusing within the genres of breakbeat.  Collaborators and musicians work close together on our label and we are always ensuring a brand of selective “state of the art“, quality and sound .

We will devote ourselves to deliver the phattest, funkiest and the biggest grooves to be found out there...
