Twenty-six year old Boston-Based Producer Bugler’s debut EP/Demo, “Recreational Chemistry” currently unreleased. All Rights Reserved. For all inquiries please email Brianebugler@gmail.com. 

“Tranquilizers” with samples from 1969 Relaxation Technique PSA’s and bootleg fake Daft Punk snippets. ‘Tranquilizers’ slowly builds from a strong Tech House grove mixed with vintage vocals that stress the harmful effects of certain items. From the onslaught, ‘Tranquilizers’ sets the mood for the rest of the EP. The strong lead synth plays off of the unique tech house percussive sounds, creating a relaxing yet uplifting steady and constant presence. 

“Fly Swatter” strips back the lead synths and in-your face percussive sounds for a straight techno groove and minimal feel. The rough-cut bass line mixed with creating sub-bass and deep kicks produce a subwoofer paradise. A brief and hypnotic relief from the introduction track. Techno through and through. 

“Liberty City” a nod to the famous bassist Jaco Pastorius, features almost no resemblance in terms of structure, but features a dominate bass line and highlights of steel drum and bells to denote each stanza. Keeping with the overall feeling of the EP, ‘Liberty City” features Vintage Vocals from JFK in the 60’s. This minimal / tech house production features strong percussive elements to drive the track. 

“Sambucca” is a complete standout from the rest of the tracks. Although it could be classified as Tech House, it features a number of instruments not usually seen in this genre like the Xylophone, an African Chorus, and a large collection of bongos. A total transportation from the first three tracks.
