'The latest release on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records is a scintillating package, which brings together two titans of the progressive scene. The EP features two progressive house legends; Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren alongside their collaborators Soundexile and Nicolas Rada. They have both remixed tracks taken from the most recent Hicky & Kalo EP 'Borealis'.

It's been quite a ride for Hicky & Kalo in the last 18 months. The young duo have made a name for themselves in the progressive house scene with a string of quality releases, including a collaboration with Seth Schwarz and releases on Hernan Cattaneo's label Sudbeat and Cid Inc's label Replug. In the meantime, they were remixed by both Rodriguez Jr. and Sahar Z. The reaction to their latest EP 'Borealis' was quite something and the title track was even in the Top 100 Beatport Progressive House for 67 days.

With this powerhouse remix EP now on the way, it is surely the cherry on top of a momentous last 18 months. We hope you enjoy it!'

Ezequiel Arias returns to the label with three amazing originals. 

Widely regarded as 'the future of progressive house', Cordoba's primary musical export continues to impress on the world stage with a string of releases on luminary labels including Anjunadeep and Replug. With events now in full swing again, gigs in North and South America prove he's lost none of his creativity and showmanship behind the decks. We look forward to what he'll do next with baited breath. 

Opening with 'Magic Fields' a tough rubbery groove gathers pace with claps, percussion and melodic layers organically flowing into the mix. Shimmering FX and grubby bass notes add style and grit in equal measures. Airy pads around the midpoint give a cinematic feel alongside the keys and off-kilter sonics that sound like bouncing balls before the beat hits and were back on solid ground. 'Far Above The World' continues apace with a tribal groove that quickly mutates with off-beat bass into a driving gem of epic proportions. Finally, 'Arcadia' completes the triptych with another melodic masterclass. Growing slowly over the opening section, icy keys and powerful low end grunt combine for a growling, musically diverse mindset stomper.

Roaring to life as knight and day collide in an explosion of sound and colour, a new nirvana emerges. The stars shimmer over the Melkweg and rippling arpeggios take Shelter on the north side before analogue synth motifs find a sweet spot in the Sugarfactory. Every time Guy J releases his solo material on Lost & Found, the world of music lovers is ready for a treat. He's not only one of the leaders of the global scene but a musical innovator pushing the limits of studio techniques and borders of abstract emotional content. His latest conceptual masterpiece consists of two tracks ranging in length from over 7 to almost 11 minutes and a total run time of over 18 minutes. The opening track, Last Standing, blends the progressive motifs with an out-of-this-world anthemic breakdown. 'Roger Martinez's Higher States begins the new year by welcoming Simos Tagias to the label for his debut EP. As one of the most recognized names in progressive house, the Greek artist has landed releases on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Cid Inc's Replug Records. The Athens resident has continued to explore the creative realms of the genre in recent years, expanding his repertoire to it's more techno inspired derivatives, while never losing sight of his much-loved melodic sound. Now following a remix for Proton Music to begin the new year, Simos makes his first appearance on Higher States with 'Waterdrop / Fluxer'.

Approaching a decade-long production career, Simos continues to flourish, earning praise from the underground's elite DJs. The smooth, evocative vibes of 'Waterdrop' get the release underway and appear set for a similar fate. Following a prelude of warm beats, hip swinging percussion and wavy arps, comes redolent rhythms and soulful swells. Tastefully timeless and evolving with an energetic prowess, it's a spacious lead theme which shifts the narrative further into transcendent territory. Wispy effects and fragmented vocals add depth and emotion, coming to full fruition during the main break and elegantly peaking for a spirited final act.

Completing the release in fine fashion are the dreamy tech-vibes of 'Fluxer'. Showcasing a tighter rhythmic prowess than its predecessor, it's compact core and rippling low end aim squarely for the dance floor; while an airy resonance delivers a subtle yet powerful emotional response. Smooth and evocative, its seductive cadence pushes forward into a charming break, blanketed with glowing pads and iridescent effects, before ultimately melting down into a chugging finale. It rounds out a stunning two track showcase from Simos, setting the course for what should be an excellent year for the Greek artist.'
