Quest Kitwe - Radio Show

The Uncle John programme had a two weeks residential camp held at Ciyanjano Campsite in Lusaka West, This camp held from Saturday 3rd September 2016 to Sunday 18th September 2016, brought together 50 children from the street, 30 from Lusaka, 10 from Kitwe and 10 from Kabwe to attend this camp. During this time they were taken through the Uncle John programme as well as given other skills, Theatre, Acrobatics, Life Skills and Alcohol and Drug Training. The Barefeet Children's Council Also visited the camp to talk with the kids and also play with them

BCC Show Episode Two

Barefeet Children’s Council is a non-profitable group under Barefeet Theatre. The members of Barefeet Children’s Council are Barefeet ambassadors, who act as the Bridge between Barefeet and the children Barefeet works with. They are also activists who advocate for a free and just world and the issues that their communities and peers face. Using the power of Theatre and multiple life skills to impact change and advocate for the youths of our generation who don’t have a platform to do so, they gather and disseminate useful information to their peers, communities and the country at large. The children’s council are role models, young leaders, peer educators who motivate and support their communities in developing positive and healthy behaviours and life choices.
Currently, the Barefeet Children’s Council has 35 innovative, creative and extremely motivated members from the ages of 12 to 21, in all three of its Branches, Lusaka (HQ), Kaoma and Livingstone. They belong to various Barefeet Partner Community Centres, Schools, Communities and Organizations.
