Awareness means listening, amplifying, and protecting what’s vulnerable and too often unheard. When dignity is debated, we choose action: book, pay, credit, platform, and protect trans and non-binary artists. Visibility matters. Joy matters. Safety matters. Let’s make all three non-negotiable for the future leading to Trans Day of Remembrance on 20th of November.

Saeleen Bouvar is a trans artist, writer, and curator based in Hamburg. Her work explores the trans sonic experience through collage, memory, and emotion, using music as a form of thought and feeling beyond genre. Moving between dance music and experimental sound, she treats the mix as a site of queer musicology — a way to rewrite sonic histories through trans embodiment. Founder of the Transtronica Festival, the world’s first trans electronic music festival, her sets evoke tenderness and rupture, tracing how sound can dissolve boundaries between archive and desire.

This mix explores the trans sonic experience — the tension between dissolution and emergence within electronic sound. Drawing on the legacy of SOPHIE and early IDM’s retrofuturism, it reflects on how machines once offered escape from a body perceived as inadequate, and how sound now reimagines that same body as radiant and free. Acid, electro, and broken rhythms collide where metallic surfaces meet emotional vulnerability, turning transition into texture — a movement between glitch and grace, circuitry and flesh. Within these fractured melodies lie both melancholy and explosion: the joy of becoming and the pleasure of resistance.
