HWRD is a producer and DJ from Cologne known for fast, groovy techno with dark undertones and euphoric highs. With a restless curiosity for sound, he’s developed a distinctive style—blending precision, energy and emotional depth in both his productions and DJ sets. His tracks are meticulously built journeys, and behind the decks, he’s known for bold selections and a sharp instinct for the dancefloor.

A key figure in Cologne’s electronic music scene, HWRD has played major venues and festivals, and earned a loyal following. He’s the founder of Toolboxxx, a label set for big developments in 2025, and a resident DJ and booker at TheGate in Düsseldorf—his creative home and core community.
This mix was a positive challenge: capturing his identity in under 60 minutes. Recorded at TheGate, the club’s atmosphere helped guide the set and deepen his connection to the sound he wanted to share.
