A Morning Song

As soon as I first heard guitar genius Clive Carroll play this at a gig in Bournemouth, I thought "I really want to learn to play that". A wonderful version of Willie Brown's well-known blues tune, Clive reworks this every time I hear him live with new ideas. The Lamentation of Owen Roe O'Neill

I saw Martin Carthy play this as an encore at a folk club years ago and was captivated. This arrangement of Martin's version is by late, great Eric Roche, published in Guitar Techniques magazine. Such a catchy tune and a real crowd pleaser to play live!
