Since Plastician's blistering Wavepool 2 compilation last year, many have been wondering how long the wait would be for some brand new music from the man himself.

Fast forward almost a year, and he's ready to drop 7 brand new tracks on Terrorhythm, in what is his biggest solo release of new music on the label since his critically acclaimed debut album "Beg To Differ" in 2007.

"I wanted to pick up where Beg To Differ left off", Chris Reed tells. Across 7 tracks, his Grime & Dubstep roots are still audible, with a healthy influx of Wave influenced numbers to boot, this really does feel like a view into the mind of Plastician some 11 years on from Beg To Differ, minus the now legendary shellings of Skepta & co.

Whilst the Grime vocals are noticeably missing from this outing, Reed explains this was out of choice this time: "I'm sat on 4 or 5 vocal tracks as well as a couple of straight up Grime instrumentals. I've toyed with the idea of adding them for months on end, but the energy was just not quite correct next to the bits I've stuck on".

Plastician tells us the Grime bits are to be held for their own release in the near future following "Overdue", an E.P. named due to the lateness of the release, as well as an ode to his two children who were born beyond full-term pregnacy.

 "Within the intro of Cerebral, a climax is built up through great grimey stabs with hints of a rolling low-end and evil progressive soundscapes. The drop contains contagious mids that eat your mind immediately, like with the other tracks on this release. Widowmaker's signature comes forward through the way he has structured his beats and the progress they make overall – making it a rollercoaster ride for the listener. Nice minimal percussive elements involved, which are in balance with the rest of the elements present, the way it should be. The second drop contains new patterns that sent out the message that you as the listener can expect much more from him in the future. A/T/O/S, pronounced 'A Taste Of Struggle' is a project by Amos & Truenoys.

Introduced by a mutual friend, A/T/O/S started creating music together. Their first creation, 'A Taste Of Struggle' was quickly picked up by dubstep pioneer Mala, who signed them to his label DEEP MEDi. Their debut release received an early spin by BBC 6 Music's Mary Anne Hobbs and impressive remixes by Skream and Commodo.

Stretched is taken from their upcoming album: WATERMAN 30.10.20.
The 3rd on DEEP MEDi, following their self-titled debut 'A/T/O/S' and the follow-up 'Outboxed'. WATERMAN once again sees A/T/O/S exploring new territories with their formula of exciting beats and powerful vocals, accompanied by Michiel De Malsche (@MIDM) on the keys as their 'secret, not so secret' member in the studio & on stage.
