After a hectic tour in Canada were back in the studio!, Here`s one we have been playing out over the summer, when we were writing this we wanted to create an old school junglist feel but with a bigger drop and a hip hop flava.. but more importantly it was so we could drop some Wu tang in our set ;) recreating the boom bap flavour in half time was challenging but fun af tryna create that double bass tone and after a few listen we thought yknow whats better than one wu tang acapella? 2 fucking pellas! so we threw ruckus in there for good measure ANYWAY  We have alot of drops across the genre board planned from now till christmas so stay locked & thx for all the support in the rave and on the cloud, peace x P x

It’s all about the music, baby!!!

Musik sollte von Anfang an eine gewichtige Rolle im Leben des B.D. Funkstar spielen. Vor mittlerweile 17 Jahren entschlossen sich seine Eltern zur Eröffnung eines Tanzcafes in Asten, in welchem der gebürtige Linzer bis Ende `99 jeden Sonntag Hip-Hop, Rock und Dancemusic, vor allem für die jüngeren Gäste auflegte. 97 entdeckte er ein steigendes Interesse an elektronischen Beats, kurze Zeit später wurde der erste 1210er angeschafft und die ersten Gehversuche auf Vinyl unternommen. Doch schnell war klar, wer nach oben will, muss selber was auf die Beine stellen. 
So kam es `98 zur Gründung von Tribe-Events, der ersten eigenen Veranstaltungsplattform. Der Erfolg ließ nicht lange auf sich warten und neben den ersten DJ-Gigs gelang es ihm, immer mehr junge Leute für seine Musik zu begeistern. 
Von 01-03 arbeitete BeeDee als Plattendealer im Linzer Danube-Records, was seinen musikalischen Horizont nochmals stark erweiterte und ihm die verschiedensten Richtungen der elektronischen Tanzmusik näher brachte. 
Kurze Zeit später war B.D. Funkstar auch als Produzent tätig und veröffentlichte gemeinsam mit Boris S. auf Skulltunes & Synopsis. Seine Releases waren auch auf mehreren Mix-Cd’s vertreten.
Die folgenden Jahre war er involviert bei Connected2, eine der größten Technoagenturen des Landes und es folgten Auftritte  in verschiedensten Ländern, diversen Großevents & Clubs. Seine nächsten Stationen waren „Criminal Bookings“ by Adrian Valera; das Projekt „Cash Money Brothers“ gemeinsam mit Errol Dix und last but not least „EME“ – das Baby von Freund und DJ-Kollegen Padre El Ferenco, wo ihm seit Jahren die Möglichkeit gegeben wird, auf qualitativ hochwertigen Events sein Können zu beweisen und die Crowds zu rocken!!!
B.D.Funkstar ist wohl einer der vielschichtigsten DJ’s in der Szene – durch seine Fähigkeit so viele verschiedene Bereiche der elektronischen Musik abzudecken, ist er immer in der Lage die richtigen Tracks, im richtigen Moment, für die richtige Crowd zu spielen.
