Monomood returns to his dubby roots with his fantastic laid back and atmospheric EP Unexpected Perceptions on Etui Records. Remembering the frost and darkness, the first track Wjnter can’t hide it’s origin. Cold chords and warm synths are creating the unique feeling of gloomy days in winter.

With Spuukj Dub on the flip you get a reduced echo-tool with haunting vocals and complex delay structures. Finally Monomood layers some pads and reverbs in the last track Dronje before breaking up the tune with a stunning piano & string combination. Goosebumps.

The release comes on black / white marbled vinyl with black inside out cover. The artwork was done by Daniel Madlung. It´s based on a photo of a rock formation at Sydney´s Bondi Beach by Oliver Hartmann.

Party time again at Forms & Figures! Tigerskin returns with three brand new and very danceable tunes fresh from his lab. We start off with ‚Parasite’. Filled with an old school rave bass line and seemingly endless groove, it’s a perfect stomper for the House floor that will hopefully put a smile on peoples faces. With the Rare- Groove influenced ‚Good Flute‘ we dig deeper into an ocean of filters, funky guitars, stings and flutes while with ‚Ain’t a Star’ we return to the cloudy and more classic Tigerskin-Spaciness.

As we enter the latter half of a challenging 2020, San Francisco-based DJ, producer and Extrasketch head Andrew Rasse, aka Butane, and regular Italian production partner Riko Forinson are showing no signs of slowing down as they ready yet another string of releases for lovers of quality and consistent house and techno. ‘In Concert’, a play on words of sorts, means both literally ‘acting jointly' (symbolizing Rasse & Forinson’s impressive ongoing collaborative output within the studio), and also the enjoyment and consumption of live music (which we all miss dearly). Here, presented as a home concert of sorts, the duo's two-part project will see the pair combine to showcase a selection of new material within the more ‘musical’ end of their artistic spectrum – beginning with four fresh productions via Volume One this September.

Opening with the slow-burning hooky vocals of the lead track ‘Let Go’, the duo exhibit a combination of influences and sonics from across the electronic sphere to produce a sure-fire post-covid indie festival jam. ‘Connect’ welcomes more blissful stylings as woozy chords and delicate vocals merge with hazy grooves throughout, whilst ‘Something Different’ utilizes expertly programmed organic percussion arrangements alongside meandering melodies and a blossoming core groove. To close, ‘I’m Asking You’ offers up the most up-front production in the package as slick drum licks work beneath warping atmospherics to nail down a driving yet delicate dubby journey and shape up proceedings adeptly.
