Shipwrecked Records 06: James Zabiela (BE-AT.TV)

After speaking to stalwarts like Regis, KiNK and James Zabiela last year, BE-AT.TV’s Shipwrecked Records podcast returns for its first episode of 2019, featuring German techno legend Chris Liebing. 

With over two decades in the game, today Chris is one of the biggest techno DJs on earth. He regularly plays some of the biggest festivals around the world, but has also maintained an underground credibility few others in his league enjoy. 

As you’ll hear in this interview, Liebing’s reputation as an open and jovial individual proved true. Nothing was off the table, including the American midterm elections, which took place the night before we spoke. We also talk about his new album, Burn Slow, veganism, what dance music can do about climate change, as well as burnout, depression, his love for pop, and much more.
