In Zen Buddhism, ensō (円相, "circular form") is a circle that is drawn with a single, uninhibited brushstroke to express a single moment in time when the mind is free to let the body create.
The ensō symbolizes absolute enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe, and the void.

If the circle is imperfect, not fully closed, it is a symbol of incompleteness and imperfection. This allows for movement and development, as well as the perfection of all things. This is related closely to the Zen idea of wabi-sabi, the beauty of imperfection.

As musicians, we often come to the conclusion that our music is not finished, not perfect, instead it is abandoned in its final state. In a way, individual songs are like the ensō, drawn in one fluid, expressive stroke, and once it has been drawn, one does not change it. The finished creation symbolizes the character of its creator and the context of its creation in a brief, continuous period of time.

With this album, we hope to showcase our individual creations and characters, and hope you enjoy exploring them as much as we enjoyed creating them.
