Hard Ton, Italy's extravagant duo of all things house music are back on Luv Shack Records, unleashing six steaming hot tracks on the "Queer Nation EP" - a precursor to the first full Hard Ton album that is due for 2017. "Queer Nation" has singer Max swapping his falsetto with a dark mangled voice, paying tribute to some essential queer icons over a dry acid house track that rejoices in repetition, and rightly so. "Classic Music" head-honcho and old timer Luke Solomon's remix of "Queer Nation" builds up an intense 707 drum pattern, underlining rhythm guitars and Max's voice, ending in a bold acid climax. Italian newcomers "Younger Than Me" also take on "Queer Nation", marrying an early 80's wave touch with a classic house approach. When Hard Ton pair up with ROTCIV, "Style Ga-Galore" awaits us. The cut up hushed vocals are thrown into a lush melange of filtered pad shots, a 303 bassline and a percussive house groove. "Yeah Yeah" featuring Moralez & Sames is an ode to early Detroit and Chicago house, with Max singing vigorously, syncopated hihats swirling and stabs nodding towards lil Louis. The final track is a LeSale disco dub of "The Way You Rock feat. Mirror People". LeSale strips the original drums completely, rearranging the vox, piano and synths to fit his disco workout edit style, adding a cheeky synth bassline to complete the boogie redress. Paradise Palms presents a brand new EP from Edinburgh-based musician John Bryden aka Eyes Of Others. Gloomy but with a luminous edge, Stimulus sees Bryden creating dark, chugging moods driven by an ensemble of drum machine loops and a broken Yamaha CS01 - elevated by introspective lyrics, haunting vocals and a baggy pop quality. 

Counting Andrew Weatherall, Geoffrey Mugwump and Sordid Sound System amongst his fans, Bryden’s track ‘Like It When It’s Lazy’ also caught the ear of electronic pioneer Das Ding (Minimal Wave, Pinkman) who has contributed a tense and sinister 7 minute remix to the EP. 

‘Stimulus’ is available digitally on 10th November and will be distributed by EPM. The record was mastered by Sam Smith at Green Door Studios in Glasgow.

The man DJ Mag called “Absolutely Unstoppable” and Superfluous Punctuation Magazine called “Worth the Trouble” is back with four dark techno bombs that promise to extend his reign as Tiga’s new best friend for another week at least.

It is difficult to look at ABSOLUTE’s rockin’ rocket ride of a career with anything less than total admiration. This guy’s got all the right moves, plus the Beatport numbers to back it up in court. For this EP, he teams up with rave legend Adamski, exactly 30 years after his worldwide smash hit 'Killer', and electro goth star Linda Lamb, who has previously worked with Vitalic. Title track 'How Come U Know' is an electro rave basher featuring Adamski's vocals and cheeky lyrics about the all-seeing eye and loss of privacy. On 'Bliss', the deep and esoteric voice of Linda Lamb takes us to another world without possession - electro wave in optima forma.
