So apparently Jon Saxe, the man, packed a bunch of synths into his backpack, sporting a lumberjack shirt and kaki shorts - and was seen walking on water later that afternoon. Check out "Golden Man" from his(very) endangered private album. This didn't show up in years until recently, when some freaky explorers were finally able to secure another specimen.

This is just bonkers. The ultimate version - some kind of tiki-tinged ketamin tropico cover-version of Donna Summer's epic classic. This record is invisible and probably one of the most in demand records you could possibly showcase. It’s not a bootleg or anything like that, it’s actually from the early 1980s and it’s from Asia. Cover is also nuts with golden foil embossing. This is for sure one of the craziest if not the best of all Donna Summer covers I’ve ever heard.

Shh "Love To Love You Baby" - Japan Micropressing LP - Insanity EX-/VG+ - 340€

Put your ears to the sand and listen to call of the asian mermaids. They sing rarely and only to those who speak the universal language of love. Sample was taken from the LP for sale. Could use a wood clean. Punch hole in the cover as with all his copied. Did someone say "all copies". This is the only one on the web...

"The Mermaid" LP By Yon Seokwon - Ambient Grail On Oasis South Korea, 1991  - VG+ Punchole - 270€

Straight from the docks - what a foggy sounding beauty from Italy - even though this sounds much more like some sort of US minimal soul / art jazz act with mind bending mermaid choirs. We had to boost the sound up as the recording is quite lo-fi which adds a certain charme. Real nice classy vibes all the way through. Main tracks run 3-4 minutes.

What a gem this one and took me years to source a spare. The rest is in the same style. "Raindrops" and "Should Be Dancing" are other highlights on this mega rare French session, probably with some sort of involvement by JP Massiera and his studio singers...
