This edit (originally created in 2008 for my dj sets) was supposed to be included on the recently released third Autonomous Africa 12". Unfortunately I didn't get permission to use it in time for that release but permission has now been given, so rather than wait for AA 004 in 2015 it is going to come out as a limited edition hand stamped 10" as soon as possible. All proceeds will once again go to the Mtandika mission in Tanzania - http://www.actioninafrica.org/about-mtandika.php

First up on mixing duties is the talented Amsterdam based DJ & producer Mason who already has a strong back catalogue of releases under his belt including two artist albums and a whole host of remixes for some of the biggest names in Dance music. High Summer. Sun is shining and the Bordello is open to newcomers, the latest being Slovenia’s Ichisan. After EPs on Internasjonal and Catune amongst others, he delivers via Bordello A Parigi a 12” that bulldozes barriers, Metamundas seamlessly slips between electro disco, braindance acid and gilded funk. Writhing 303 jerks are tempered by warm-hearted key changes for the title track, patterns ducking into playful frolics and lush deeps. And this desire to toy with convention is what characterises the EP. Bitter chords are sugared, machine grooves with nods to the dancefloors of the 70s, spaceflights with undertones of Chicago ; Ichisan brings all together in a 12” that is as unique as it is addictive, following Prins Thomas and Todd Terje's Path.
