SONG BACKGROUND

Cette chanson est née d’une session avec les Swing Ninjas pendant laquelle nous avons créé la base de “Stop Googling Me” qui sera par la suite magnifiquement interprété par Marcella Puppini. Nous faisions un peu du surplace avec ce titre quand, à l’occasion d’une demande de remixe par Tape Five pour leur titre “Geraldine’s Routine” nous avons eu l’idée de proposer au groupe d’y apporter une touche finale…la voix fantastique de Henrik Wagner et les arrangements amusants de Martin Strathausen ont permis au titre de devenir une de nos plus belles réussites. 
Le titre respecte la trame des chansons des années 30 avec une histoire en toile de fond qui a été transposée à notre époque. Deux danseurs de swing s’aimaient d’amour tender mais la belle fut tentée par les mirages de l’argent facile et choisit le riche play boy…mais sans la danse pas de Bonheur, donc au final elle préfère rejoindre son danseur de lindy hop, ils vécurent heureux et eurent beaucoup de petits danseurs.
This song is born from a session we did back in 2012 with the Swing Ninjas, a neo-swing combo from England. Originally the session was designed to record what became the basis of "Stop Googling Me", and two other songs "Just Click" and "Tap Dance", not yet released. Martin from Tape Five contacted us for a remix project around his "Geraldine’s routine" track.  We took this opportunity to ask him to put the final touch on the track - and what a final touch it is. Henrik Wagner brings his magic vocals to the track, and the final result is true to our interpretation of the challenging and tumultuous Thirties." 

The song itself is a tribute to the love songs of that period, which usually describe stories of love and despair (well, some…). So, here we have a love story between two Lindy Hop dancers. The man is passionate but not wealthy, and the girl is torn between her need for a comfortable life and her love of dancing. She falls for a rich playboy, but when she is caught in an ephemeral life of wealth and pretense, she finally returns to her dancer lover - to the hypnotic beat of dance rhythms.
