This is a modular patch that's meant to granulize audio - either a live input or a recording. It's a first go at a performable patch.

Not Here

For FAWM 2023! This is another patch for VCV Rack. I'd like it to be performable, via playing live audio through it, but I'm not sure I've got the overall sound design ready. I don't love this performance, but I'm ready to move on for now.

Viscous Breath

This is a generative patch created using VCV Rack. Some notes and some atmosphere... This is just one performance of it; I'll be adding to the patch and polishing it in the future.

Waddler

An Explosion Sound Effect I created by layering piano hits and stabs from Patchen on freesound.org.

Explosion SFX

I created the sounds for this using only Android apps EtherPad and Flux, and processed and arranged the sounds in FL Studio. While bouncing one of the sound clips off of my phone, I got a Facebook notification. I wonder which one of my friends unknowingly contributed to this song... The clip that has the notification recorded in it happens to sound better played backwards, so I think hopefully Mark Zuckerberg won't sue me. Actually, only just now did I realize that he has the same first name as me, but that doesn't really have anything to do with this track, and I'm already so bored with this sentence that I don't want to finish writing it. Ah-ha! Maybe you thought I would be cheeky and not finish typing it out, but boy did I punk you because I've dragged the joke on even farther.

I'm being flippant, but I actually really ended up liking the juxtaposition of these two very different sound sources, and the lesson I learned is that with enough filters and FX, ANYTHING can sound perfectly cohesive!

Flux Galberna

I've always loved the music in Super Mario World, so I did this cover a couple years ago in FL Studio. I did the transcription and arrangement, but the song doesn't belong to me, obviously.  Don't sue me Nintendo! It's just a cover by a fan :)
