The m+ EP is full of high moments like this single "freebleed" which takes cues from a couple internet genres of dance music. every summer, my family and i would travel to an island to visit my surrogate grandparents.

i had this image in my brain of the island being the most perfect place on the planet. but when i returned there years later, i came to realize that such a place had never existed.

the land itself, the nature, was still beautiful, but the inhabitants were corrupting it. it wasn’t the haven that i remembered, except for my surrogate grandparents, who remain the light of the island.

i still love the island, but my idea of it has eroded. nothing is perfect.

this album is a bittersweet ode to a beloved place that has become unfamiliar over time.
