‚Sputnik Snare‘ is the first contact made by ‚Church of Ajijik‘, a new mysterious duo consisting of the space traveling prophets ‚MynkMynk‘ and ‚1409‘, the alter egos of veteran musicians ‚Deckert‘ and ‚Laser‘.

The new found Berlin act produces self proclaimed ‚Krautrave‘, a form of psychedelic brutalism inspired by the likes of CAN, Harmonia, NEU!, The KLF and Suicide, handcrafted for unique dancefloor processions.

A stoic drum machine pattern fused with a simple bassline marks the marching core foundation which provides the dark canvas for a colorful playground of harmonic elements ranging from groovy synth patterns to krautrocky guitar riffs. ‚Sputnik Snare‘ finds it soaring climax in a crescendo of percussions before it fades out into the spacey void it originated from.

‚Church of Ajijik‘ are experimental explorers but deeply rooted in the core principles of rave culture, which makes their firstborn an appealing tool for both slightly adventurous DJ sets and chilled out after hours at home.

Rey Morales is not here to entertain you. He’s here to pull you under, deeper into the abyss where sound becomes something more dangerous. Born in Venezuela, now commanding the underground scene in Madrid, Morales is less a DJ and more a conjurer of raw energy. His music—dark disco, acid, EBM—isn’t meant to make you feel good. It’s meant to make you feel something real, something that strips away the surface until all that’s left is your heartbeat syncing with the relentless pulse of his set.

This isn’t about the spectacle. Morales is a master of subtle destruction. Each beat, each twisted synth line, is designed to dismantle the walls you’ve built around yourself, exposing the part of you that craves release. His alter ego, Sounds of Porn, whispers promises of pleasure, but it’s a darker kind of thrill Morales offers—one that doesn’t come easy. His sound is a slow burn, a descent into something primal that lingers long after the lights go up.

Morales doesn’t seek applause. He seeks transformation. His sets are rituals of catharsis, pulling you into the shadows and forcing you to confront the things you’ve been avoiding. It’s not comfortable, it’s not safe, but it’s real. And when the music fades, you won’t be the same. You’ll be something sharper, something rawer. Something alive.

When the first Beat Bizarre vinyl is released in 1999, it turns the established paradigm of Psychedelic Trance upside down: Powerful and impelling, yet at a moderate tempo. Minimal and repetitive, yet everything but monotonous. Catchy and with a high recognition factor, yet without any prominent melodies or hook lines. Dark and mysterious, yet funky and uplifting. Back then, the sound of the Danish project is the epitome of a movement that has just begun: Progressive Trance.

 The sound of Beat Bizarre is embraced by the scene with such great enthusiasm because it features an entirely new approach towards psychedelic dance music. Instead of using the ecstatic melodies of classic Trance productions, its hypnotic power evolves from booming basses and tight percussions, from subliminal rhythmic buildups, and from a multitude of grinding and jangling sounds that merge into a perfectly sleek groove. When this formula finds expression on the album “Lewd” in 2001 it doesn’t take long before Beat Bizarre are invited to play at all relevant parties and festivals around the world. Among many successful tracks the “Brain Drain RMX” gains probably the biggest popularity, a true milestone of the Progressive Trance genre.

 Originally Beat Bizarre starts as a duo, but in 2005 it becomes the solo project of Martin Spanner Zimmermann. Some might also remember his monumental “Liquid Structure”, the opening track of 2001’s VuuV Experience festival which he produced under the name Martian. His successful albums “MUHKARV” (2012), “Riot” (2013) and "Maunder Minimum" (2015) take the typical sound of Beat Bizarre to a contemporary level without giving away its organic soul. Operating from a studio full of analogue hardware, Martin is eager for action as ever before – so it surely won’t get boring for all the Trippy-Tech heads out there!
