The formidable Rex The Dog returns with his first single for Kompakt in three years, “Change This Pain For Ecstasy”, a slow-burning disco-glitter stomp that’s charged with analogue energy. Pushing his self-built modular hardware set-up to its limits, “Change This Pain For Ecstasy” is taut and thrilling, stripped-back and pulsating, with sweeping chords shimmering through a classic Moroder arpeggio, as a delirious voice sings out a psychedelic raver’s plaint for liberation, pleading for you to "take away my sorrow and this pain”. Deeply emotional, it’s also a masterwork in tension and release, dizzy with snare-rush peaks, and dark, humid valleys where Rex is bound to the patchbay.

On the flipside, Rex gives us “Moto”, which tickles your ear with cymatic phenomena, its gentle vibrations building, beautifully, into a monster-piece of stealth techno. Rex’s DIY synths work overtime as he chases patterns and phases through circuitry, wilding the tones until they erupt into a spray of pointillist pizzicato. The sounds here crackle and corrode, the textures so tantalising, so sensual, you can almost grab hold of them with your hands. It’s great to have Rex The Dog back, making livewire, yet deeply human techno, alive and bursting with electricity.

Producers Cosmonaut @cosmonaut and K Loveski @loveskidj , both renowned for their sophisticated approach to Progressive House, return to Univack with a new collaboration: “Jackelele”, a four-track EP that fuses tribal energy, melodic elegance, and club sensibility. Through its sonic narrative, the release explores diverse shades of progressive house, featuring remixes by Tali Muss @talimuss , Sunchain @sunchainmusic , and 8PAJ2 @pajproduction  —three rising talents in the global underground scene.

The original mix of Jackelele is a vibrant anthem, driven by a captivating rhythmic structure, African vocal elements, and organic instruments woven seamlessly with modern electronic textures. Tali Muss enhances the groove with a more direct, club-friendly approach, while staying true to the original spirit. Sunchain takes the track into a more organic and immersive direction, rich in tribal percussion and deep atmospheres. 8PAJ2 delivers a more powerful interpretation—still progressive, but with melodic techno undertones and the kind of intensity that suits peak-time sets.

“Jackelele” is a sonic journey that bridges tribal roots and contemporary dancefloor aesthetics—ideal for energy-filled DJ sets. A new testament to Univack’s ongoing commitment to emotional depth and musical quality within the Melodic & Progressive House universe.

On our new Chrom release, we proudly welcome Geuzz from Belgium — a DJ whose career took off after performing at Tomorrowland. During the Covid pandemic, Geuzz turned his creative energy toward music production, quickly securing releases on Belgian labels such as Deep House Belgium and Deep In Your Soul. His music has attracted remixers like Enoo Napa, &lez and Aytiwan, while gaining global support from influential DJs including Black Coffee, Fideles, Magdalena, Maxim Lany and Shimza. On his Chrom EP, Geuzz presents two fresh original tracks. The title track Disconnected Souls stands out as an emotive masterpiece that made its premiere with great success at our ADE 2025 Chrom Showcase, played by our label manager Pedro Mercado. The second track, Conflicting Minds, carries the same energetic and melodic spirit as the title track, enhanced with dynamic Afro House elements. This one comes with a remix from Belgiums top duo Konfluence, who infuse it with emotion and groove — transforming the original into a vibrant, melodic Afro House gem.
