Been sitting around as a loop since sometime in 2016... finally tracked it out and added some distortion and compression from my sp505 and old numark x6 mixer.  The x6 has a distortion/compression effect on the aux in channel that produces some really nice sounding results if used properly.  The sp505 was just used for it's Vinyl effect pumping compression and good old wobble.

First time I ever rhymed on the mic.  This was recorded recorded in 2001 at the Ryerson University studios as part of a class project.  I don't really enjoy writing lyrics that much - I'm too self critical and am never happy with things I put down on paper.  Sometimes I feel like trying to get back into writing though.

I am an amateur musician living in Toronto, Canada.  I have been making music for mostly myself and friends for almost 25 years.  Most of it is electronic and rooted in hip hop, but I have a really hard time labeling and describing it to people.  "Instrumental Hip Hop" harkens too much of a mid 90s backpacker ethos, and "Trip Hop" isn't quite right and never has a positive implication nowadays.  I just make beats.  There's scratching here and there.  Sometimes I rap a little.   The tracks on this page range from 1999 to Now.

II appreciate any feedback about the stuff up here.  Good or bad, long-winded and technical or short and simple... whatever.  But if you're listening, drop a comment!  It means a lot.
