'I remember one day, sitting in the studio, tapping my feet nervously on the carpet.  If it could speak, it would have surely shared a few words of anger with me because I kept on tapping and tapping like a mad man, trying to deal with the pace at which my thoughts were circling in my mind.  They just kept on going and going, taking me on an emotional roller coaster ride that was solely based on these questions: 'Is she the one?  Is she the one for me?  Is she the one that my heart truly beats for?'  'I have never felt this kind of love before!' and as I screamed these words, I knew then and there that she is the one for me.  Today, I call her my wife, my flower, my everything, and without a doubt, the love of my life.  Darling, this for you and all those people that hope to find a love so pure that it immediately erases any doubt.

What is Footwork House Jam (FW)?
First of all it is a long-running club night in Moscow, Russia, dedicated to real house music and house dance culture. Started in 2010 as a small project, influenced by sound and visual esthetics of 90’s house parties in New York and Chicago, FW soon became the biggest creative community of dancers in Russia, gaining strong local following and international reputation. It is the birthplace and home for leading Russian house dance crews.  

Various Artists EP “Footwork House Jam #1” is a homage to the global house culture and the eponymous Moscow-based club night in particular. The idea behind this compilation is to provide the fuel for house dance culture and house movement to expand further on, blurring the boarders and eliminating the prejudices of the present times. This is a collection of irresistible swinging beats from some of the world’s top house producers: Karizma (USA), Nubian Mindz (UK), Byron The Aquarius (USA), Kid Sublime (Netherlands), Lay-Far (Russia), Intr0beatz (Island), SMBD AKA Simbad (UK). These tracks will make your body jack! 

Being a long-time resident of FW, Lay-Far selected and compiled the music for this release, sharing his vision of what Footwork House Jam is all about.

Following the great reception received from the original release last year, DM.Recordings are proud to present the remix package for ‘Tshamiseka’. This time around, we are honoured to have exclusive remixes from Sean Munnick, FKA Mash and Dwson - who represent on Kid Fonque’s Stay True Sounds label. 

Each producer has been a testimony to the definition of the word “diversity” with their take on this original track. To start we have Dwson who gets slighter deeper with his remix. This talented producer displays his creativity by adding electronic elements twined with snappy kicks that sit perfectly on the eardrums of listeners. 

Soweto’s very own FKA Mash takes us on a soulful journey but with great depth. In using light rhapsodic drum pads, he has cleverly heightened the beautiful vocals of the original version. 

In wrapping up such a heart-warming remix package, Sean Munnick steps up to shift the soulful vocals of Khensy to a breakbeat drum pattern layered with spacey synths and subtle shakers. A remix that can only be described as being created with dancers in mind.
