The Munich based duo Coeo are the stars of our fourteenth release. Florian Vietz and Andreas Hopfl have presented us with three original tracks with nice and special character. Closer EP is definitely a landmark release for us at Lagaffe Tales which challenges us to follow up with this new standard in the following future. The title track Closer is the star of the release. What stands out if the great percussion work and hauntingly beautiful vocal sample, whispering into our ears. As if the original track was not enough, we were lucky to get one of our biggest influences; Lay-Far to remix the track. The remix takes the percussion work to the next level and still staying true to the original mix. Lay-Far does not disappoint and makes sure that we connect memories we hold dear to the track. Mind Games is a beautiful piece with a tight baseline and enchanting piano atmosphere.  The duo bring to the table another beautiful piano sampling piece in the third track Timid Dancer. The whole EP has encouraged us to work harder and to grow in the right direction as a label.

Give’n’Take is a new series on Uncanny Valley that focuses on favourite and likeminded producers from some of our core artists. For the start, Cuthead picked Max Graef, S3A and Moony Me and also contributed two tracks to the EP himself.

Berlin’s wunderkind Max Graef hands in “Tittenkuschler“, a slow burner that will find a home on heartfelt dancefloors and sofas alike. Cuthead’s follows up with a punchy house affair called “Braziliance” and the super-relaxing Hip-Hop-cut “Öf Öf”.

On the flipside we have S3A from Paris with the discoid “Theuz Hamtaak”. He takes no prisoners with extensive sampling and an up and down bouncing arrangement. “Magergarten” from Vienna’s Moony Me runs in the same vein with its string-heavy
break and powerfull drumming.

For the visual component Uncanny Valley asked Lucas Hunter aka Luca Lozano aka Luke to create one of his oldschool-praising artworks.

The Future Disco brand has been renowned for their iconic compilations since 2009. Based in Brooklyn, Jacques is a globetrotting DJ who also runs the roving Let’s Play House party night and label. Along with regular releases on his own imprint, Jacques boasts music on other scene leading labels such as Endless Flight, DFA Records, Rekids, Permanent Vacation and Defected. His induction into Local Talk's family of artists may nearly break his already exhaustible release CV.

Local Talk is a Swedish label globally known as a trusted source of timeless House music with influences in jazz, funk and soul. Whether its jacking, raw or deep, each release is compiled with care and attention to detail. What binds them together is an honesty that doesn’t follow fashion, hype or gimmicks.
