Freiburg based Italian stallion Enea releases his 2nd longplayer ´Overview´ on his own, soulful South-German imprint, Beatalistics Records. The 12 track album once again showcases the versatile background of the Bass-Player, who grew up on the picturesque Lake Constance. Having been a familiar name in the international Drum´n Bass scene for more than a decade, Enea now also takes us beyond the classic 170+ bpm rhythm structures to give us a proper ´Overview´ of his musical philosophy. Comprising his typical softer rolling, Liquid based tunes like ´Wonders´ featuring label partner MC Fava, ´Earthrise´ with Freebird or ´Moon´ alongside the vocal talent Vavunettha, he additionally presents various influential styles throughout the album. ´Interstellar Dub´ and the Dub Remix of ´Nuuh Smile´ featuring Kyrad from Switzerland lead us off the beat on dubby paths, whereas the title track ´Overview´, ´Clouds´ or the Remix of ´Fly High´ with Meks Sample & El Tronic show his affinity for smoother Trip-HipHop grooves. By the way, you might recognize an organic and pulsating Bass here and there, of course played by the maestro himself! This is warm and beautiful music for sophisticated and open minded souls.

´Destiny´ featuring Finish Drum´n Bass legend Muffler is the first single of FAVA´s debut solo EP on Beatalistics, the imprint he co-runs with Freiburgs soulful tag team partner Enea. The hopeless romantic German Vocalist lays down his armour and reveals his deepest soul. ´Destiny´ deals with the fear of letting go and starting again - key issues in contemporary song-writing, and also in Fava´s music. Destiny is melancholic but also raises hope to trust into fate and the universe - everything happens for a reason. Muffler does what he does best to empower the message of this intimate piece of music with his trademark handwriting: Melodic and warm but also clear, minimal and precise. The pop song structured track leaves the perfect amount of space for Fava to say what he has to say and perfectly underlines his vocal arrangement with trancy leads, punchy beats and an omnipresent bass which surrounds all elements with a gloom of wellbeing. Emotional!

Germany based MC Fava releases his first solo EP on Beatalistics, the imprint he co-runs with Freiburgs soulful tag team partner Enea. This has been a long time coming and it couldn’t be more emotional. The 5 track strong ‘Destiny EP’ reveals more of the hopeless romantic songwriter’s soul and once again showcases his immense versatility. Finish Drum´n Bass legend Muffler adds his inimitable minimal melodic touches to the title track and underlines Fava’s personal lyrics with his trancy trademark signature. Shooting Star Mountain from Japan shows his unique talent and musical approach on the 80s Synth-Pop influenced ‘Midnight’, a rock-bass driven song characterized by its harmonised vocals arrangement. Teaming up with British vocalist Becca Jane Grey and Slovakian Smote, ‘Sarah’ is a soul touching piano based liquid roller with a long acoustic drum intro which perfectly leads into the highest emotions. Enea himself takes you into deeper shades of colour with the moody ‘Green Velvet’. Hypnotizing pads complete the warm bassline pattern which wraps the simple but distinctive drums perfectly around Fava´s mesmerizing vocals. The Green Man from Cologne, Germany concludes the emotional rollercoaster ride with the Downtempo Chill-Hop ´Alone in the Dark´. Smooth horns and breathy pads create the perfect atmosphere for the German vocalist who playfully mixes melodic singing hooks with calm spoken words and repetitive chants. Outstanding on all levels!

The 2nd remix instalment of the ´Destiny EP´ by FAVA is an all German collaboration. ´Drumantle´ aka Kai Hummel & Bass Tikal (Phunkfiction Rec / Triad / Maximono) put hands on the trancy title tune featuring Muffler from Finland and turn it upside down. They professionally ´un-cheese´ it by switching the trance lead sound to a mix of distinctive beats and deep bassline patterns which nicely swing with the original vocal line, resolving in a special harmonic flow. Rounded up by some ´Drumantle´ (Shogun Audio) trademark sounds, this is the perfect bounce for your hot summer nights!
