This exclusive and deeply emotional interview was recorded in Berlin in 2003 at the beatdezernat studio.
At that time, Larry Heard and Brett Dancer had only rarely been to Germany. Bringing them together was made possible by Keith Denis — a long-time friend from the early Detroit house movement, whose dedication as a promoter helped invite these true pioneers of house music to Berlin.
What followed was a truly unforgettable night at Kinzo Club, featuring Larry Heard, Brett Dancer, and Mandel Turner — a moment where history, trust, and music came together in a very special way.
This one means a lot to us.
We thank Keith for his trust, his vision, and his continued support.

Somewhere 51° North. The STL project continues with two extended moody house tunes, atmospheric sounds and dj tools. What is pressed here, on clear vinyl with light black clouds inside - is not a final statement or fixed image. After hearing these tracks there still remains some mystery. Something new can be discovered every time, when you decide to deal with number seven of the vinyl series. Engaging melodies which can release unknown inner feelings. Just be true to yourself. Deep. Sometimes dreamy. Somehow magical. This 12" is probably a timeless production. The track Paperboy is actually a more than a decade old piece of music, reworked today. And overall this something release could survive for years, and will maybe return again on your turntable somewhere in the future. Memories.
