The label has become a staple in the UK Tech house and beyond for its consistently killer output. Joining Ozman and Golden on the EP are remixers Joal (Constant Circles, Selador) and Seyzer Uysal (Chapter 24 Records, Suara). Phantom opens up with shimmering percussive lines and rolling drums that make for dark, engaging yet hypnotic listening. Eternal is another edgy track that shows off his mastery of synth layers that keep you on your toes, while also laying down more rubbery drums to carry you late into the night. Erly Tepshi remixes and does so with a more hard hitting approach to drums, which are upright and dance, and cosmic melodies keep you looking skywards. This is exquisitely evocative house music with fantastic use of melody.

After taking some time off to work on new music, Sonantis report back with a five track EP on Mirror Walk on 20 April.

This new release will take you on a journey through various interpretations of house and techno, starting off with the driving yet atmospheric track "Focus". The tracks "Omaya" and "Kazaka" don't hesitate to introduce more percussive, groovy and even tribal elements that contrast the otherwise melodic and almost dark atmosphere. For Kazaka, Sonantis also teamed up with Munich based DJ/Producer Malcolm Francois. The EP then reaches midpoint with its name giver "Nero", paying tribute to analogue sounds as well as funky and groovy roots of Sonantis. The journey will climax with its final track "Teega", finishing the EP with a forceful yet harmonic peak time powerhouse.

With this new release, Sonantis again showcase their diverse style and willingness to explore and combine different grooves, harmonies and vibes, while still maintaining their unmistakable signature.

Release Info:
Michael Hooker has been a revered name in the worlds of techno and melodic house for quite some time. The UK-bred, US-based DJ, producer, and label owner is known for his tasteful blend of heavy rhythms and catchy melodic sequences which have seen releases on labels like Desert Hearts Black, Dear Deer, Suah, and his own Re:Sound Music. Michael makes his debut on Yoshitoshi with the Warning EP, featuring two unique originals and a stunning remix from progressive house mainstay Quivver.

'Warning' is the kind of hard and heavy techno that seems to build forever, its rising leads and soaring sounds creating a sonic tornado of tension before unleashing flurries of sirens and pounding drums. As Nigel Tufnel might say, this one 'goes to 11.'

'Thoughts of You' is more on the hypnotic side of things, with a slower tempo and a syncopated vocal sample that morphs and evolves into all manner of robotic forms. Lush pads and exotic percussion fill out the space creating an atmospheric vibe that still rolls and moves like proper techno.

Quivver's remix of 'Thoughts of You' takes the track in a darker, cinematic direction, with massive, modulating synth stabs and a heavy groove. It's trademark Quivver, and the veteran producer's chops are on full display with his razor-sharp focus to detail. The remix rounds out this package with a refreshing and progressive mix.
