Modeplex - Resonate / Stellar + Rauschhaus Remix

The 28th EP of the label consists of three elegant tracks. There are two originals by the talented Spanish artist Paralel (@paralel_mind), of which the title track ‘Rose of Jericho’ got remixed by the renowned French artist Remcord (@remcord).

The first track, called ‘Rose of Jericho’, is also the title track of the EP. Throughout the track there is a rising intensity, caused by minimalistic differences in the main elements. It’s a very detailed track, with an almost continuous high energy. This energy only got interrupted by two intriguing small breaks.

In his remix, Remcord took some of the smaller parts of the original and with his analog workflow he kept the analog vibe of the full EP. He added some sophisticated elements, starting with the interesting lead melody and his own spacey voice recordings. He managed to create a very thoughtful remix with a lot different aspects, which are forming a great unity together. 

The third and last track of the EP is called ‘L’Immortel’. This is a dreamy one, but just as the other original it’s keeping a high intensity. The combination of the raw and elegant synths and percussion makes this track suitable for a lot of different sets. Also, Paralel gave this track a slightly emotional touch, which forms a lovely closing to this EP.

Alexandros DJkevingr & Greg Ignatovich return to Lost on You with an absolutely classy piece of music entitled "Black All Black". The Greek producers, who have been a mainstay in the electronic underground, kick off the EP with this collaboration with George Christou which inspires the name of the EP. A fantastic indie-tinged mix that shines through its melodies while the sensual riffs and vocals sit beautifully on top adding an extra layer of depth. Alexandros and Greg's signature beat manipulation is prevalent as all sorts of elements come in and out of the ear. It's perfect for lovers of club beats and for getting in the mood for a big night out.

On the B-side of this EP, the Greek producers present us with "Lemon Party" a deep mix with infectious grooves and intense, enveloping synths. It's all about groove, melodic vibes and beats that work their magic around Alexandros Djkevingr & Greg Ignatovich's wonderful key arrangements, which create an irresistible groove while the clever arrangement takes the mind on a journey.

With "Black All Black", Alexandros Djkevingr & Greg Ignatovich prove that there are no limits, as this beautiful melodic gem takes you into a club-laden melodic embrace that will make you smile. Don't miss out.

Opening up the month of September in style, Astral Records presents the first installment of their Celestial' series. These VA collections will stretch across the globe searching out the finest untapped talent along with industry veterans. With a concise approach the label explores a full spectrum of melodic house and techno, with an emphasis on the astral qualities that has made the genre appealing to many. Wrapped up in this five-track journey is a veritable smorgasbord of beats and melodies that are sure to delight the senses. Featured on the first installment are (in order of appearance) Asonanete, Ta'kaam, Leghet, Bruno Longhitano and Jickow.

Rounding out the release is Movement Recordings artist Jickow who debuts on the label with Nautilus'. Jickow takes the quality over quantity approach, taking time to perfect his craft and choosing his projects wisely, with Beatfreak, Frequenza and Pursuit being landing spots for his fresh take on melodic house and techno. Recently finding a home on parent label Movement Recordings with the July release of Run and Jump', Jickow now lands on Astral with the stellar sounds of Nautilus'. It's tough, pulsating groove is perfectly carved, adorned with dynamic drums, waves of percussion and compelling cosmic artefacts.
