The Beat Lab 7 music production center was established in 2004 by Matthew Slyman aka “Crucial” of Charlotte, NC. Crucial had been producing music several years prior, and was eventually called to expand his territory. After fueling production for several artists and record labels in the North Carolina area, Beat Lab 7 began making waves across the nation, slowly becoming more renown throughout the music industry.

In 2007, Beat Lab 7 Productionz made its biggest mark by producing a compilation album, featuring many talented artists from all over the country. Including some of Crucial’s finest instrumentals, this full length album was offered totally free for download, and within months, nearly 50,000 people had already added this compilation to their music collection. Beat Lab 7 Productionz went on to producing more compilations/mixtapes (gaining momentum with the “free album” incentive) while fueling more and more artists and record labels with quality, custom-made beats. In 2012, Beat Lab 7 Productionz opened up an online beat-leasing store to offer some of their best instrumentals at an affordable rate. 

Today, Beat Lab 7 Productionz continues to feed the industry with creative instrumentals appealing to all genres, while also offering other services such as mixing and mastering (digital audio engineering), industry consultation, as well as lessons on beat making. Additionally, Beat Lab 7 Productionz now provides beat-leasing on mainstream sites such as Soundclick, SoundCloud and MyFlashStore. Beat Lab 7 also offers drum kits to those who are serious about increasing their own beat-making abilities.
