Manual Labor EP Preview

Anthony Laurencio (synths) and Jose Javier Freire (drums) make up the two-man dance jam that is Beatmachines. J.J. is known as a founder member of the Grammy award winning Latin band Bacilos, who Tony toured with for years. J.J.’s live percussion is heavily influenced by his roots in folkloric rhythms from his native Puerto Rico like Bomba, Plena and Boogaloo. Tony’s afro is also known for his work with Afrobeta, Suenalo, Bacilos and none other than Mr. 305, Pitbull.
In less than a year, Beatmachines have garnered an impressive following who crave their live improvised dub-funk-bass-step-house. The excitement is bred from the fact that with no studio recordings to date, fans flock to every show to experience their ever-evolving, unique sound. And Beatmachines delivers.
A Beatmachines show regularly features a motley crew of rotating MCs, musicians and visual artists that join the jams.
