This one has been cooking for a very long time, you may find the style is a little different from my usual stuff because it is a mix of an old style of mine and the new. 

Mysteryland is one of my favourite dance tracks of all time. I remember going mental to it in the clubs years ago (showing my age now!). When I first started getting into music production, I decided the best way to learn the skills was to use someone else's melody so I was able to concentrate on the techniques. I choose Mysterland by Y Traxx and did a little work on it.

Whilst browsing through some of my old works a few weeks ago I came across this remix and decided to finish it off. It was very rough and not even half complete but a lot of the original work I did is still there. There are no samples used in this track - everything has been re-recorded.

As usual, I'm not entirely happy with the finished mix (in my opinion, the drums could use some work and it's too long) but I've slowly learned that if you try to be a perfectionist, you'll never get anything released.

So here it is. Enjoy it, I'm sorry it's so long but I really like my intros and didn't have the heart to cut it.

- Logic's EXS24 for the guitar, violins and other strings
- Alchemy for the lead synths
- Logic's ES P for some of the baselines
- Absynth for some of the pads
- ES2 and an EXS24 piano for the chord riff

- Logic/Garageband's Hybrid Basic for the main baseline and the raps
