For the debut release of Eternal Ocean, Ronan weaves the story of a personal search for meaning, a pull at the loose thread in the woven blanket of reality. In empty urban landscapes and serene natural environments he began to find clues to some kind of inner doorway. In these moments of inquisitive solitude, there seemed to be a ‘way inside’, the beginnings of a path towards understanding, towards peace. In discovering the trance of communal dancing he realized that many answers could be found somewhere between the soundsystem and its operator. Maybe it was in the subwoofer, as the rumblings began to reshape the patterns of his feet, or the frequency of the top speakers as they sympathetically vibrated his inner ear. In these spaces there seemed to exist some connection to a universal feeling, a shared experience that went beyond the rave, beyond history, beyond bodies, there lied something there, something intangible but existent nonetheless. ‘Prolongez La Magie’ is about following those feelings of exploration and listening to the voice of your inner child, your deepest ally. It is about keeping those special memories in your heart, and extending that wonder and excitement of the imagined, the fantastic and the unexplainable into all facets of your life.
