BOT 028: Saqib, Naayaab and AREUBLUE join forces once again for the EP, Dhum Dhum Ta. This is their second official release together and its a two track EP exploring a dark desi sound. It follows their single Samundar on Indo Warehouse in December 2024. Fusing Saqibs dark rolling grooves, AREUBLUEs hypnotic melodies and NAAYAABs incredible voice, Dhum Dhum TA is a unique sound. The title track comes in hot with a rolling dark bassline that has its roots in the sound of metal and punk. Big groove energy that would go off in a warehouse of ravers for sure. Dil Ka Fever is a dark love song coming from somewhere deep inside, somewhere very hot. A high-energy peak-time track to close out the EP.

BOT029: Space Samba by Taylor Bradford featuring remixes from Oldnews and Andrea Castells with Rivellino (collaborative remix). Space Samba emanates from Taylors love for Samba and Pablo Neruda whose poems were sampled throughout the track. Going back to his time traveling around South America and absorbing the sounds, especially samba and salsa... Its a frenetic dancefloor exploration of bouncing beats, latin percussions and samba guitar in the context of electronic music. Rivellino and Andrea Castells, two Barcelona based rising stars, present a more stripped-back and minimal take that is focused on the groove and its nice and smooth. And last but not least, Oldnews is a rising Brooklyn-based producer and DJ who closes out the EP with his remix, coming at you with an explosive and funky jam.

BOT 034: “RAGA”  is the first release of the year for the label, featuring label head Saqib and multidisiplinary Mumbai-based artist, Naayaab, AKA Radhika Upadhyay who makes her return to the label with this incredible single. Raga is a remake of Charanjit Singh’s Raag Bhairav, as can be heard on his 1983 album, “Ten Ragas To A Disco Beat”, an album of electronic music compositions where Singh, a Bollywood session musician and composer took the ragas of eastern classical music and played them to electronic beats with the Roland TB-303 and TR 808 which he had just recently discovered and picked up on his travels. The original album was a commercial failure but revived in 2002 and re-released on the label Bombay connection. 
A few years ago, Saqib was turned on to the album by a friend and completely blown away. It became a bucket-list goal for him to rework the original track and present it in a new form. While working on it , he shared the work-in-progress with Naayaab who was holding on a similar bucket-list. With their bucket-list goals combined, this incredible work of art was born.

Laparwa means “irresponsible”… and in the words of Naayaab,

I don’t want a shiny routine, fixed answers, or someone else’s version of success that looks good from the outside , what a “30 something life” should be. I’m an artist. I’ve failed. I’m rebuilding. I’m excited. I’m broke. Not married. I am chaotic. Not normal. Socially awkward, loud, and unapologetic… free. Free. And free. But are you though? Judging me for what? I guess somehow not choosing the “right age, right time” makes me irresponsible, because I don’t fit your version of how my life could be? Seriously, yuck. No. I’m good, thanks. I’d rather keep failing than to fit into little miss perfect something. “

Sana is an NYC-based Indian-American DJ and producer whose globally inspired sound bridges house and bass. Blending deep, percussive rhythms with UKG, breakbeats, Baile Funk, and experimental bass, she pieces together a dynamic energy that pushes house music’s boundaries while keeping the dancefloor moving. JALUS is not a band in any conventional sense. It is a shifting collection. Two musicians, intermittently active, with coordinates placing them between Dharamkot, Himachal Pradesh and London. Beyond that, little remains fixed.

One is a sound engineer, obsessed with space travel, science, and the idea that every sound has a destination. Archivist, collaborator, producer, messenger. 

The other barely speaks at all, preferring to listen to the world around him; collecting textures, graffiti scars on city walls, and forgotten moments hidden inside old vinyl records. 

The album, “Doosra” is the documentation of a journey. The connection began during an evening in East London; What followed was a gradual understanding built through conversation, time,  and silence. Then came the ticket to Delhi and a train journey north into territory that was only partially documented.

The recordings were captured under unstable conditions where power was intermittent and the environment left clear traces on the medium. What returned was not a finished product, but an organic balance of synergies between the gear, the climate, and the moment.

What followed was not production, but recovery. Some material survived the journey back. Some did not. The mystery grows, instead lies fall. BOT041 is the remainder.

BOT041 is the remix of Shehaq and Naayaab's Laparwa from AREUBLUE, the electronic entity created by percussionist and music producer Shyam Lalani, making his return to the label. The remix is an uplifting, melodic re-envisioning of the original that brings on a side we never knew. Beautiful soaring melodies, wind instruments, warm synthesizers, a track for the dancefloors that like it smooth and sexy. For the day parties. For the sunsets and the sunrises. A side we never knew but welcome with an open heart.

Laparwa (AREUBLUE remix)

BOT 042 is “Chaahat” from Sana, who presents her first solo EP on the label after remixing Naayaab and Shehaq’s Laparwa earlier in the spring of this year. 

This time we explore the world of breakbeats and UKG through the lens of Brooklyn…

Sana is an NYC based Indian-American DJ and producer blending house and bass into a globally influenced, high energy sound. She creates a sonic tapestry weaving together deep percussion, UKG, breakbeats, techno, and experimental bass, pushing the edges of club music while the floor keeps moving. Drawing from her South Asian roots, Sana incorporates traditional Indian elements into modern electronic production. As an outspoken presence in a male dominated scene, she’s committed to challenging norms and building spaces where diverse sounds and communities can connect.

In her own words, “I produced this track in a quiet London coffee shop the day before a show, still carrying the energy of a night full of desi sounds. The original has always held a timeless pull, and this version leans into something familiar while pushing it somewhere new…”“Chaahat” blends those familiar melodies with deeper rhythms and a refreshed club ready feel. It’s deep, emotional reimagining. It keeps the emotion intact while still keeping the nostalgia of old Bollywood...”

Naayaab is a genre-defying vocalist, lyricist, and composer known for blending multilingual vocals with emotionally charged and bold, percussive electronic music. She debuted with leading labels such as Indo Warehouse, Kindisch / Get Physical Music, and Beats on Time.
Her DJ career soared in 2021 with a debut alongside icons like Nikhil Chinappa, Tech Panda x Kenzani, and Ankytrixx. Since then, she has shared stages with international powerhouses such as Budakid and Rauschhaus. Naayaab made history as India’s first female DJ to headline the ‘First Metro Gig’ in Jaipur in 2021.
