Night Shift ft. Doktor - No Fear

Created in lockdown, “Love It Like That” is Night Shift’s 2nd single on Sigma’s BeatsBassLife imprint and follows on from the success of “No Fear” ft. Doktor. Taking on the roles of songwriter, producer, recording engineer and mastering engineer, Love It Like That showcases Night Shift’s remarkable musical talent.

To create the song, Night Shift recorded live trumpets and piano which he accompanied with synths and samples to create a melodic banger of a backing track. He then enlisted the services of well-respected reggae MC, Natty Campbell, who sent back this original, singjay-style vocal. The result is slick future jungle with a reggae twist and positive sunshine vibes.

Night Shift returns to the sounds of future jungle with his latest single, In The Ghetto, featuring vocals from Jamaican dancefloor artist, Samo T. Samo, based in Jamaica, heard about Night Shift whilst working with Benny Page and immediately recognised that they would be a deadly combination! He reached out and, after giving each other mad props, they set to work to create something special. 

The result is catchy ragga vocals, tough drums and a serious bassline combining to give a dark jungle vibe that is then tempered by Night Shift’s clever use of horns and trumpets. In The Ghetto is an instant future jungle anthem and delivers a slice of Jamaican sunshine that everyone needs to keep them warm this Winter.

FREAK has the feel of an instant classic and is definitely one for both the Festival Skankers and the Kitchen Ravers. Changing Faces says, “I got inspired by artists like Vibe Chemistry and Bru-C and wanted to make something very streaming friendly and do something I've never done before to get out my comfort zone and experiment!”

Since Son and Enliza released their debut single on BeatsBassLife back in 2022, the label have been dying to get some more music from them. Finally, they got back in the studio and conjured up a 4 track EP that exceeds all expectations and stirs the soul with its brooding bass, captivating melodies and angelic vocals. Titled “All A Dream”, the EP represents an entire artistic vision that has been brought to fruition by Son & Enliza.

The 1st single from this excitng project is OIDA, which translates to ‘I know because I have seen’ from ancient Greek. Enliza says, “Oida is about having a whole conversation with someone through only your eyes - maybe it’s something that for whatever reason you can’t say aloud, so you’re exchanging everything you want to say or need to know with your eyes”.

DEALING WITH THE BEST is a collaboration between Bare Up, one of the sickest producers around, and two of the most legendary vocalists in dance music, Dynamite MC and Dread MC. The story of this track began when Bare Up sent the instrumental to Sigma who happened to be on the road with Dynamite MC. Within a couple of days, Dynamite had written and recorded the vocals but that wasn't the end of it...he then sent it to Dread MC who added the catchy chorus! The end result is that when you hear the track you are officially DEALING WITH THE BEST!

Leading UK drum and bass duo Sigma are riding high following the massive success of their latest single “Nobody To Love”. Originally created purely for their DJ set, the track took on a life of its own after Annie Mac and MistaJam heard it out on the circuit.

“Nobody To Love” was officially released in the UK on April 6th, reaching Number 1 on the Official Chart the following week and has held its place in the Top 5 for five weeks so far. Having already topped the UK radio airplay chart, the single is about to enter its fifth week at number 1 on the TV airplay chart. It landed on the A-list playlist at Radio 1, 1Xtra, Kiss and Capital FM and also topped the Music Week ‘Cool Cuts’ and ‘Club’ charts. 

“Nobody To Love” has gone gold in the UK after racking up sales of more than 400,000 and is at 18 million views and counting on YouTube. It’s been streamed more than 30 million times and was the second most Shazam-ed record in the UK.

And now the rest of the world is falling under Sigma’s spell...”Nobody To Love” climbed to the top of the national chart in New Zealand, to Number 2 in Belgium and Number 3 in Ireland. The single is dominating iTunes charts globally – it’s reached number 1 in the UK, New Zealand, Estonia, Ukraine and Hungary, number 2 in Belgium and the Czech Republic, number 3 in Canada, number 6 in Poland, number 8 in Australia, number 11 in the Netherlands and is poised to break the top 10 in Germany.

Sigma have announced their new single featuring Ella Henderson: ‘Glitterball’. The release follows the worldwide hits ‘Changing’ (featuring Paloma Faith), ’Higher’ (featuring Labrinth), and ‘Nobody To Love’, their first No.1 single that gained them two BRITs nominations.

Earlier this year, Sigma (aka Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie) unveiled their new live show in Australia and New Zealand, returning to the UK for a sold out debut live tour that hit London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Brighton. The pair also recently performed at this year’s BAFTAs, following December’s performances at the BBC Music Awards, and the Christmas Day edition of Top Of The Pops.

Currently in the midst of a riotous festival season, Sigma‘s forthcoming shows include Glastonbury, BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Hideout, EDC, T In The Park, Creamfields, Pukkelpop, V Festival, and many more, plus dates across the Ibiza season at Together at Amnesia, and Ibiza Rocks.
