The Story::

Song: The Crash
The first thing you notice is the cold. It’s the coldest you’ve ever been. This isn’t a mere dagger of cold piercing your skin, but a massive axe lodged into the entirety of your spine. You can barely move, and your sleep-tears have frozen shut your eyes. You can hear the muffled voice of your Ship’s Mate, but the ice in your ears makes it sound underwater. Your memory starts to return as the click, thunk of the Thermoducts turn on.You did it. You left Earth and the broken world it had become far behind. But then what? With no destination in mind, and very limited supplies you picked a direction, and went to sleep. Warmth returns to your extremities and you wiggle your fingers for the first time in...you honestly don’t know how long. Steam begins to fill the cracks inside the ice and you blink away tiny icicles to a translucent world of blue. Your eyes are weak, but as you blink away new tears, your vision starts to focus. You know it’s going to take a few minutes to get better, but you can make out the Cryo-Chamber’s frozen, womb-like shape around you. You can see the Thermoducts rotating around the bottom of your chamber. You can see the blurry glare of the ship’s main console blinking on the outside. What woke you? Did the ship find a hospitable planet? Or maybe even other Humans? You haven’t spoken to anyone in years...at least. The melting water drains from the Cryo-Chamber, and the breathing tube inside you is removed without warning. Robots aren’t known for their bedside manner. Your first breath feels like it came right after getting sucker-punched. You cough so hard your ears pop, and your stomach drops. While puking nutritional fluid into the thermoducts you finally register the alarm and your shipmate’s robotic voice... Darkstar...Wake Up....Everything...Is Fucked.

This one is another very special track to me. I wrote this track during my internship where I was earning my master's/specialist degree (which I did end up getting!), and my work/school life was interfering with my drive to create music. One morning, I was delighted to see that I had the day off due to a snow day and I spent the morning creating this song. This was one of the first tracks I wrote during 2022 that I was extremely proud of.

hi everyone! been a couple of years since i've released anything. sorry about that. for those who dont know, I got "cancelled" and lost my touring career in 2022 for accusations via Twitter of being an abuser. was actually the most sobering moment of my life and directly communicated to me that my behavior while operating as a DJ was unacceptable, something I was unaware of at the time. i'm definitely not a moral compass and never claimed to be, but i am a human being who learns from mistakes. for a long time i resented how everything transpired and the lack of due process, but its just the healthier option to let go. i never issued any sort of public apology because it felt redundant, and it still does. i've made right with anyone who has ever communicated to me that my actions negatively impacted them.

i had become addicted to the touring DJ lifestyle and it affected my mental health in ways I was not equipped to handle. there are a LOT of things you will encounter while touring that can enable someone with an addictive personality. but on the bright side, I'm nearing two years clean from the substance that had me in a headlock, and the sad truth is it's not something that would have ever happened had I not lost my touring career. I also met a really cool therapist! ive hardly logged into my social media accounts in the past 2 years, mostly by choice. I picked up a new instrument (guitar)! I also have been getting a lot of tattoo work in! Overall, I'm happy and healthy and living my life! 

anyway, i have good and bad news. the good news is i'm releasing another album in 2025. the bad news is its probably my final album. its been a long internal battle whether or not i wanted to keep this project alive, but truthfully I have been giving all my energy to my family and work life. touring is out of the picture for me. it was my bread and butter and kept the lights on. since then ive been working in a different industry. i'd be lying if I said I didn't miss this shit. it was an exhilarating ride, but all good things must come to an end. i still create music, i've just shifted to another style of music i'm passionate about, and honestly not having the pressure of being a DJ participating in this rat race of collecting bookings and living in airports in an effort to maintain relevancy and not be broke has been dope!

thank you to any and everyone who has supported this project in any capacity over the past 7 years.. seriously. could not have done it without you! i would also like to cordially invite anyone who sources dopamine via besmirching strangers online to give therapy a try! therapy is great! thanks!

｢Ammut Remixes｣ breathes new life into the Seoul-based collective Raw Hearts’ first single ｢Ammut｣. Ten artists from around the world—B E N N, Entrañas, mana, LOBOTOME, 7ip7o3, Mazefromfar, Mon Amour, Tabris, YAWNISH, Yetsuby—reinterpret the track from their own perspectives, resulting in an album that fluidly crosses the boundaries of genres such as Latin core, experimental club, dubstep, and drum and bass.
By inviting artists active in different global scenes to deconstruct and reconstruct ｢Ammut｣, the track transforms and expands like a living network. This project encourages a practice of not passively consuming music but of reimagining, remaking, and sharing it together. It also maps out the global underground connections to which Raw Hearts aspires.

｢Ammut Remixes｣는 Raw Hearts의 첫 번째 싱글 ｢Ammut｣에 새로운 숨결을 불어넣는다. 전 세계에서 모인 10명의 아티스트—B E N N, Entrañas, mana, LOBOTOME, 7ip7o3, Mazefromfar, Mon Amour, Tabris, YAWNISH, Yetsuby—가 각자의 시선을 통해 곡을 재해석하며 완성한 이번 앨범은 라틴 코어, 익스페리멘털 클럽, 덥스텝, 드럼 앤 베이스 등 장르의 경계를 유연하게 넘나든다.
