Feb 7th is Dilla Day! Join me in celebrating the life of possibly the most important and influential producer of all time: James Yancey, better known as J Dilla. He would have been 49 today. Dilla's music made an unmistakable impression on generations of producers, including myself, and I wanted to take the opportunity this week drop an unstructured, chilled out beat and then go for some donuts. Happy Dilla Day! Rest In Power!
