It's peak summertime, so we had to bring in one of the hottest DJs in Atlanta for a guest mix. @dj-hourglass takes over the second half of the show with a high-energy set packed with bangers.

“Think outside the clock." This self- dubbed phrase has been the motivation behind Hourglass’ approach since touching the turntables. Without any major backing, Hourglass worked her way into the DJ booths of Atlanta’s most notable venues before finding a family in the collective and creative agency WERC Crew in 2015. Musically, Hourglass showcases the African diaspora in the freshest and most innovative way possible, intentionally prioritizing the LGBTQ+ Black experience. Hourglass has reached new heights not only as a DJ, opening for artists Pinkpantheress, Doechii, Kaytranada, NAO, Masego, DVSN, Baby Rose, Princess Nokia, Sángo and others, but also as an event producer, reviving nightlife scenes with original experiences and fully producing experiences for brands ranging from Red Bull to Spotify. 

While her WERC has landed her performances on Boiler Room, Afropunk, A3C Festival, Deep Tropics Fest, and literally atop the mountains of Switzerland, Hourglass has also created her own lane in the virtual scene, livening up international corporate functions based in Dubai and Berlin right from her home. She is currently splitting her time between Atlanta and New York City, hosting her monthly residency Hourglass & The Homies at Friends & Lovers Brooklyn, and building her new alternative music experience Channel Orange. With WERC Crew, she continues to grow cultural staples Smothered & Covered and The Groove.
