This is for "The Invisible People"— We Can Do Better, and We Must

I came across a video about Finland’s Housing First program—15 years of actively choosing to prioritize human lives over bureaucracy, politics, and excuses. As I watched, I wept. Not just for them, but for all of us. Because we’ve forgotten how to be human.

I’ve lived in big cities and small towns.  I’ve served the homeless. I’ve been without a home. I have watched others in my own family and friend groups experience the same at some point in their life. I realized turning a year older that I can say have every year of my life touched and seen, lived, and experienced the heartbreak firsthand. And every time I see someone sleeping on concrete or staring through me with hollow eyes, a part of my soul cries out: this is not how it should be.

I made this song, "The Invisible People," as a tribute. For those we step over. For those still fighting. For those we label and cast aside.

We need to remember what it means to see each other again. To care enough to do something. Real change is possible. I’ve seen it now. And I believe we can bring it here.

This isn’t just music—it’s a movement.
This isn’t just a birthday—it’s a rebirth of purpose.

Let’s learn. Let’s act. Let’s love one another back to life.

This song is dedicated to the invisible people.
To those sleeping on sidewalks while the world looks away.
To the souls discarded by a system that profits from suffering.

May this be a call to remembrance, a call to action, and a call to love.

To the city I came from, to the streets that shaped me,
To the ones I served, and the ones I couldn’t save,
I see you. I haven’t forgotten.

And to Finland—thank you for showing us what it means to care.

I dedicate this song to the hope that lives in action,
Not in pity, not in empty prayers,
But in building homes, restoring dignity, and choosing love.

We do not heal by turning away.
We heal by coming back for each other.
