It all started a month ago when one of my Twitter followers direct messaged me. I open the message and begin reading ...

"idk if you'll ever see this or not, but i have a huge favor to ask. A huge inspiration and great person in my town suddenly died in a car accident. He was really obsessed with Drake. So we're trying to, as crazy as it sounds, get Drake to notice Juan, the guy who passed away. If you could post something about people commenting the hashtag #DoItForJuan and/or #DoItFor32 on Drake's pictures it would mean so so sooo much to me and my community. Do you think you could tweet #DoItFor32 for our community and spread the word?"

I then decided i couldn't say no to such a tragic story, so i proceeded to construct a tweet to help spread the word. A few hours later i go back to check my twitter and my notifications went NUTS. Hundreds of retweets and favorites on this one tweet. After seeing the support that was received by this one tweet, I immediately began looking more into this story. After doing a little research I began to realize this wasn't just another person dead this was very special and impactful. As this movement began to progress i got more and more involved. Suddenly kids began to feed into the idea about me personally coming to visit their community of Hobart, Indiana and i thought what an amazing idea. A few weeks later on November 7th 2015, the day after my 24th birthday, i hopped in my car and i set out for Hobart. After a long 6 hour drive to Indiana I finally arrived to my hotel in Merrillville, Indiana and i began to notify everyone that I touched down. Immediately i began receiving text messages, snapchats & tweets on twitter to meet some of the kids that were really close to Juan Lamar. I set out to personally drive around the town and meet as many people as i could. After meeting a few people i started to head to the area where Juan lost control of his vehicle and all of his friends placed a cross and other things where he passed. As I am on my way I receive a Facebook notification from the father of Juan Lamar reading "Call me." As I read this message the butterflies began to float around because I was just in shock. My goal behind all of this was to meet the Lamar family and express with them how touched I was by all of this. With the power of God and some help from a guy by the name of Josh Orosz we were invited to the home of the Lamar family. After hanging up the phone with his father i had reached the crash site where Juan passed. This is where the cover art for the song came from, it is a picture of me kneeling saying a prayer at the exact location where Juan lost control. I then hopped in the car and began to head to the house. As we pulled up I am beyond nervous at this point and we see another vehicle pull up from the opposite direction. It was the family .... They all got out of the car and kindly greeted me and the people i brought along with me. We walk into the house, beautiful home by the way, and we filled into the living room. What an amazing moment it was as his mother, Tyneal, started telling me all the stories about her son and how much she missed him. In the middle of her talking about this she broke down in tears and it tore me apart inside because i could feel how devastated she was. I held it together as she began to joke a little and started smiling. I took a picture with the family in front of the framed jersey they have from where Juan attended college and played basketball. This was a special moment because the one goal i had making this trip was now accomplished. The reason i initially took this trip was to feel this emotion and energy from the community so it could help me write this song ....
