Based on a folk tale (or maybe two?) I read somewhere...

Thomas & Annabelle were blessed (cursed?) with eternal life & were very much in love.  A jealous witch who pined for Thomas' affection, cast a spell to prevent him from being with his beloved.  Annabelle would die, leaving Thomas alone eternally.  
Annabelle would come back to life every few hundred years, but, she would have no recollection of her previous life or self.
Thomas would have to find a way to break the curse, however, he only had a few years at a time to do so.  If he did not find the counter spell, Annabelle would die again...and so the cycle would continue.

In The Beginning…


Livin here is just like summertime
It’s so easy
Nothing in the world that can’t become mine
With the power I am weildin’

	…And then she appeared
	Behold as enters Annabelle
	Bathed in pure light
	Glowing in her eyes were mine

And so it was from their first sight
As only love would have it
A string around their heart was woven so tight
And so full of passion

	And so in love was Annabelle
	To his pure delight
	Never was something so right 
	Could he ever dream he’d achieve while
	…meanwhile

Another sought his heart for her own designs
And she could not stand it
That she could not take love from his blind eye
And with her own supplant it

	This much is clear
	If not for Annabelle he would be mine

All around is chaos & that’s all they show

With elephant piles & sheep feasting on crow

Waiting to follow you down again
Even hearing the same old tired lines
Thinking nothing say it proud 
Even when you walk it all back again using the same lie



All of the hope & the praying thoughts at this time

Hanging out with such an angry mob 
Becomes a trick when they decide that they no longer love you
Day to day is just a thankless job
With all the checking in & briefing everyone above you
	Underneath their hidden lair, they call you
	Everyone waiting there wonders if there’ll 
	Never be another day with you…but not…

Today is likely too involved
Elimination of the assets we had just acquired
Creates a problem that can’t be resolved
And so it was we let the trail go cold before we fired
	Hanging outside right in broad daylight
	Blend into sidewalks…slipping shadows
	Sounds like another day with you
		
Until we had spirited you away 
You’ll be already gone away (gone without a trace…without a face)
They too are looking everywhere for you
	
	Monaco made them wait in Oslo
	When Marseille left them in Vienna we were
	
Watching them look for you half a world away
Aware you’ll be already gone (gone without a trace…without a face)
But they follow you painfully aware
You’re never where they are

	As it ends well we just share the moment
	All in all I’d say it’s been another day’s work

ANOTHER DAY

A tale of an attempted possession gone awry

CAMBIONA

And so this guy she did spy through her darkest eyes
Would be the latest victim of the ways that she devised
Just enough contact then vanish into the night
Only to reappear when she thought the time was right


She floated down, a gown without, around my head
Without a sound I found & then she said
I know the way to heaven if that’s where you wanna go
It didn’t seem to me be another dream
Not a scream what does it mean
First you gotta make it through the fire down below


What will be tonight, my little Cambiona
Is everything you never thought you’d know
Will be tonight my little Cambiona
And into the inferno I will go


Something told that this little blaze would be divine
So I poked it & I stoked it until I could take my time
Slipping calmly & boldly through the freshly opened door
Where I can easily just maintain a soft & gentle roar

We’ll leave tonite - 	we’ll rise upon the mountain	
			To the valley I then go
			And drinking from the fountain
			I feel the overflow

Forever the weather calls for only clouds & rain 
Til the moon decides it time to start again
Whatever could never bring about this sudden change
Will for now & ever never be the same


And so it was that Cambiona lies in a bed of chosen size (sighs)
Never did she think she’d ever find the way 
But that was well before that fateful day…
