Homemade cover of Alasdair Robert’s The Magpie’s Nest 

I first heard this song about 15 years ago, I had just moved into a little cottage with my young daughter, who happens to be an actual Irish fairy￼.
I was starting a new life for us, and this song envisioned everything I’d hoped for.
I used to not be able to sing this song all the way through because the beauty of it just destroyed me.
All my hopes & dreams , they did come true. ❤️

Harvest Moon (Neil Young)

Day 7 of my 12 Covers of Christmas is "Birds" written by by Neil Young, a request from Doc Abrams! 
Neil has always been  a huge influence on my songwriting, & some of my very first songs were Neil Young covers. He uses simple chords & simple words to express deep & complex emotions. 
I recorded this on my dad's nylon string Martin at work, & fun fact you can hear a car zoom past after I sing "It's over, it's over" the first time. Peace out!

Day 9 of my 12 Covers of Christmas is The Hazel Wood, a song arranged by Patrick Wolf from a poem by Yeats.  This song was a request from my dear friend Jen, she & her husband have a place in W Mass as near to fairyland as I've seen . This take is from the first time I played it through, played on my dad's nylon string Martin & recorded on my iphone using Garageband.
