When i started working on this mix, the intention was a bit different than how turned out. I ended up going for a mix which for me transmits a fun and vibrant mood and consists mostly of remixed songs that i first started listening to earlier in my life. While the yellow silhouette of the golden morning sun stands out on the horizon and all life awakens, the penguin rubs his sleepy eyes and shakes its frozen plumage. He waddles slowly and deliberately, the cool water promisingly in front of him. 

After dunking his head under the surface, he feels an eerie feeling of refreshment. Quickened by this feeling, he makes his morning laps around the ice floes and waves to his comrades on the shore, who gradually start following him.

Afterhour Sounds Nr. 277 comes from Hungary, more specifically the beautiful city of Budapest. Thank you djjuliimmaï‘ for this beautiful mix from outta space aka "an alien lovestory".

Born in Lübeck (Germany) he is a long-term DJ in Budapest growing underground scene and resident at world-famous festival like Ozora and Sziget. His musical style is diverse, deep and driving. Combining house with shamanic rhythms – mysterious, beautiful and special.

Perfect prerequisite for an after hour, right? That's what we thought, too …

✔️ What's your musical influence?
My musical style is as capricious and diverse as life itself.  Variations of house and minimalism blend smoothly with ritualistic music from around the globe. I try to mesmerize the crowd with deep, driving and eclectic sounds.

✔️ What your take on the perfect after hour?
I love hypnotic sets, yet therefore needs to be a certain atmosphere, the right kind of people, decoration, lighting, and a general love for dancing.

It's welcome to have kinda shamanistic or let's say ritual elements. 
It really has to go skin deep and gotta give me goosebumps!

At an Afterhour I like to be enchanted and drawn to another realm. 
There's nothing more delightful than dancing along your dearest on splendid beats and sending yourselves to trance.  Those are my wishes when being part of an audience.

Hence with my DJ sets I try to lay a foundation for this experience, still integrating those who might have different desires.  I want to reflect my own urge for extatic screaming in the middle of the dancefloor on my audience when I dj.

Yet it's something I wanna build up slowly but steadily, playing spherical sets instead of just cutting in outstanding tunes once in a while.

It's all about a sustainable development, and if you give in, it's gonna be much like meditation, hypnosis, fortune cookies, love and sex.  Constantly banging, creating a true synthesis of the arts right at the climax.

✔️ What have been your thoughts during the creation process of this set?
This mix is a journey through space and time, detached from any boundaries of electronic music.

Embody the cosmic currents of music by dancing barefoot on the carpet! I gave it the name "An Alien Love Story"

It was an honour for me to play on Saturday at the Spirit Space - and give all the mystical creatures a cozy soft shelter to ground, recharge, and connect with others at night. So beautiful to watch the space fill up during those two hours and become a wobbling interconnected so(ul)rganism with lots of contact dance. I truly felt naked while playing this set, because I poured my whole heart out there and showed so much of my inner being... Slightly scary, but always worth it. 
Hope you enjoy the 80 bpm smooth sailing.

Unser nächster Podcast kommt heute von Mirco Niemeier, welcher uns seit den Anfängen unterstützt, daher freuen wir uns sehr über diesen Podcast. Mircos Einstellung zum Zdl wird in dieser Aussage sehr deutlich <3 
"ZDL bringt gute Laune in die Stadt und verbindet viele Menschen, unabhängig von dessen Musikintressen. Sie vertreten die Meinungsfreiheit und ziehen friedlich und gemeinsam zu einigen politischen Themen durch die Straßen. Es läuft ja einiges schief was man ansprechen muss. Großes Thema wie  "Mieten in Berlin" gibts zuhauf. Ich als Ur-Berliner, brauche hier kein Bankenviertel wie Frankfurt und unrealistische Mietpreise. Genauso das Thema "Ruhestunde"... Wer sich belästigt fühlt, sollte nicht ins Geschehen ziehen. Berlin ist Groß und der Grunewald ist auch schön und ruhig um mal ein Beispiel zu nennen. Wie soll die Stadt in 5 Jahren aussehen. ZDL erinnert mich an die gute alte Loveparade in Berlin, wodurch ca 500.000  und mehr Menschen, zugereist sind. Was das für Hotel, Gastro und Clubs bedeutete, brauche ich glaube ich nicht zu sagen. Die Loveparade, die durch den Umzug der Regierung nach Berlin abgesägt wurde so wie viele andere alte gute Clubs in der Stadt. Das hat schon vielen den Job gekostet. Um da gegen zu wirken, bin ich immer wieder beim ZdL dabei."
