Don't drive on ice was performed by The Sisters or Mercy for the first time on the gig in Groningen in the Netherlands on april 3rd and has been a part of the setlist ever since. This means the song has been performed 17 times as of now and it started as number 2 on the setlist but has climbed up a notch and been the solid opener for the last 11 gigs. An excellent choice of an opener if you ask me.

It has been quite interesting following the development of the song so far on this tour. At the first gigs the song had a chorus with different variations of the 
From the wrong side-Flame on-Looking at a river bits but from what I've heard on the latest gigs there just Don't drive on ice all over the place and nothing else. To me it feels like a Kill your darlings/Less is more kind of development of the choruses and completely natural while working on the arrangement of a song. My version is based on the earlier versions.

The Sisters of mercy performed I will call you live for the first time on march 8th 2020.

No official lyrics are available but this thread help me a lot to get something to sing. https://www.myheartland.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=682299 . I have listened to most liverecordings of I will call you but I have never ever heard what Andrew sings on the bridge between the So do I-lines so I just did some aaaaaaaaaaaaah. I might record a new version if the lyrics will be available.

I didn't plan to release I will call you as my next Sisters-related cover but when I got my guitar back from service I got so excited I recorded the song during two weekends in a row.

Drums are Toontrack's EZdrummer and my new favorite EZX (expansion-pack) Synthwave.

Bass is both a synthbass dubbed by my electric Gibson Les Paul.

Ben's guitarmelody is played by two guitars and also a keyboard in the background.

Dylan's rhythm guitars are dubbed through the whole song and for the choruses I also downtuned the guitar half a step and recorded two more guitars to get some heavy free strings going on.

The leadvocals on the verses are dubbed and on the choruses I added a third lead along with two backing vocals.

Bei Mir Bistu Shein is written by Jacob Jacobs and Sholom Secunda for the 1932 yiddish language musical Men Ken Lebn Nor Men. The Andrews Sisters released Bei mir bist du schön in 1937 under a germanized spelling of the title.

The Sisters of Mercy played their version of the song live between the 23rd of september 1999 and the 5th of september 2000.

I recorded the song every now and then between december 2022 and april 2023.

Jolene is written by Dolly Parton and was the title of her 13th album released in 1973. Many artists and bands have played Jolene throughout the years, for example The White Stripes. The story goes that Dolly wrote Jolene and I will always love you on the same day so she made quite a lot of money out of that day if the story is true.

The Sisters of Mercy played Jolene live between 1983 and 2001.  In 1983 Sisters recorded Jolene for BBC Radio One by David "Kid" Jensen and that recording was officially released in 2021 on the album "BBC Session 1982-1984".
