Kicking off the first of many sets recorded from our new WAH floor is the super talented Wilma with her melodic house & techno vibe laced with live cello. 

“I was very excited to play at this year’s Chi Wow Wah Town. It means a lot to be involved in such a beautifully curated, wholesome weekend filled with art, great music and wonderful people. The new location in which the festival took place was stunning, with its two quirky stages, CHI and WAH, set amongst the trees in the Winton Wetlands. I performed a bouncy Saturday afternoon set at the WAH stage which was thankfully graced by sunshine just in time after a morning of heavy rain.
The crowd’s vibes were high, the party was cranking and needless to say, we all had a total blast.” Wilma

For those who share this exceptionally magical moment with me, thank you from the bottom of my heart, it was such a beautiful journey together and for the others that couldn't get in due to the massive line or that were day dreaming and having otnes of fun at the other stages , wondering around in this beautiful festival, here is the recording of my set, i putted a lot of effort into creating a safe space, acknowledging and sharing a message of self estime, respect and how it is important to take care of each other our friends and everyone around us especially at a festival this size and how sharing and caring is paramount for the well being of all of us. Party free, the way you like, the way you feel and remember the ones around you, their belief, their intimacy, their privacy and their right to express themself. We are all in this together and we should all feel safe and loved !

Splendour In The Grass ~ The Forest

Such a fun way to see out 2023 and welcome 2024; deep in the rainforest alongside my nearest and dearest in the beautiful Byron Bay hinterlands.

In the lead up to NY, I felt like I was being pulled in different musical directions - there's always a house feel, but I was also being drawn to tribal and some proggier tracks too. I chose to follow my heart and incorporate them all - I hope I did them justice! Set time was 8.30-10pm on NYE.

Live @ Rainbow Serpent 2018

A dusty dead heat doof really brings out the true doofers from the non. I had a ball throwing down a birthday set full of new unreleased tracks and old favourites on the balmy Saturday afternoon on the hanging gardens stage. Cheers to all the legends who came to support, boogie, and brought their A game. Thanks to the awesome Babylon crew for having me on board and throwing a vibing festival in only its 2nd year running! The art, music & sound was phenomenal. The local's efforts this years was unmeasurable, an unbelievably high bar has been set that is for sure!!

I've been to 4 consecutive burns now, 2016 was my first. I've been blessed to play a number of sound camps and art cars, but I've always thought of DISTRIKT as one of the great whites, with a reputation that I’ve known about since before I made my first pilgrimage to the Playa. The hardworking and meticulous DISTRIKT team always provide a mystical experience for all of us dusty musically inclined burners,  with a carefully curated lineup and grade A Funkworks sound. Like many DJs, I hoped to one day be given the opportunity to perform on this stage, and when I was asked to open the stage on Saturday morning at this year's Burn I was truly honored and stoked! I view the opener time slot as a challenging role that comes with a lot of responsibility and one that must be handled appropriately. I often have more opportunities for late-night sets so it was really exciting to step out of my usual zone and get to flex my chops with a daytime set! I drew on my memory of DISTRIKT over the years and felt inspired to bring to the table a different kind of opening set. I wanted to do something very minimal start to finish, but with a careful progression throughout my tale, covering different areas and emotions. Thank you DISTRIKT for giving me such a fun and unique opportunity, an experience I won't forget!

Bec has also recently played internationally at the world renown club The Block in Tel Aviv & Ozora. Not to mention a slew of the Australia's best clubs like Revolver, 161, Xe54, Circus and Brown Alley alongside Melbourne's finest promoters Novel, Thick as Thieves, Untitled Group, Stable Music, Wildwood, Hardware, Nu techno, Arteq & One More Tune. 

When it comes to passion for quality music, whether it be old or new, Bec Grenfell has it down to a fine art. Playing her own definition of a much broader spectrum of electronic music, Bec’s music is best described as a unique style of melodic ethereal undertones with heavy basslined house and techno. She loves less obvious or predictable sound landscapes as she believes the unknown is always more attractive. 

Bec's passion for music delves deeply to a neuroscience level with her avid research on music's powerful effects on the brain in neurological conditions and her rehabilitation for people with cognitive and movement disorders.

Bec is constantly pushing the boundaries with her visionary sounds, paving the way for female artists in the underground scene. She lets her music knowledge and over 10 years of experience in the scene do the talking. She really knows how to capture and excite an audience with her smoothly transitioned sets and individual groove which separates her from the numerous generic “techno” artists that are seen today. Her stage presence is second to none, bringing you a journey of euphoria and electricity, leaving you questioning what the hell you are listening to!
