A top five tracker from Black 8, the talented Egyptian producer arrives on Sudbeat and oozes of class.
The title track is a sophisticated fairly housey affair, with emotions pouring from its every part, with acoustic guitars and sampled choral vocals meeting warm pads and more, all melting wonderfully into a beautiful warm soundscape of the highest order.
'TNT' takes things a little tougher and darker, as melodics sprinkle over shuffling edged beats, while acidic noises ping around.
'Rising Tide' is a mysterious slab of goodness. As dark meets light, with big phat synths and gnarly tinged sounds meeting luscious pads, while all along teased by long drops and a great groove.
'Once Upon a Time' is a smile inducing piece of electronica, wrapped up in a blanket of dreaminess. We don't need to say any more really.
Closing things up nicely, we have the club mix of 'Once Upon a Time' , and using the elements from the original and adding gated synths and a deep bassline, turns in to a dance floor moment.

2017 will be an amazing year for music, if this stunning musical creation from renowned electronic artist Stan Kolev, in collaboration with vocalist Sula Mae, on Outta Limits Recordings, the label he co-runs and manages with his partner producer and friend Matan Caspi, is anything to go by.

Stan Kolev is undoubtedly one of the most skilful electronic music producers to rise to prominence on the global stage over the past 20 years. His trademark sound, featuring haunting melodies and the hypnotizing use of vocals, has earned this Bulgarian-born, Miami-based DJ/Producer, a place as one of the most respected and in-demand producers. His music always shines with a unique formula, blending sophistication with his own distinctive originality.

‘Fill Me Up’ is a master-class in how to create subtle, yet intricately stunning, melody rich, uplifting house music. Layer upon layer of perfectly chosen musical parts, twist and turn, ebb and flow, in an ever-evolving track that demands many listens to fully appreciate the sheer quality and technical ability on display here. This is the mark of a producer of the highest order at the top of his game, creating supremely skilful arrangement that perfectly compliments the totally enthralling, seductive voice of Sula Mae. This is, quite simply, heavenly house music of the highest order.

Sula Mae is a British singer / songwriter from South London, who draws influences from the Bristol scene (Portishead, Massive Attack and Tricky) and the jazz greats (Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin), and who has previously collaborated with Stan Kolev on a track titled ‘High’ that achieved huge success a year ago on Outta Limits. The studio synergy between these two is so strong again this time round that ‘Fill Me Up’ can be considered their most accomplished creation to date.

With 2016 proving to be a massive year for us at Bonzai Progressive, we look forward to 2017 with more top quality cuts from fresh new artists as well as veterans with each bringing their own unique characteristic sounds. Kicking us off we have Colombia native Giorgio Phoenix and his debut two tracker Hypnagogia.

First up we have Hypnagogia with its deep brooding tones and superb nostalgic vocals that deliver an intriguing narrative throughout. Big chunky beats lead the way here and are backed up by a tight drum arrangement that offers a steady flowing rhythm. A deep rumbling bassline dominates the low frequencies and marries perfectly with those raw vocals. Cool synth hooks litter the sound giving a cosmic vibe to the proceedings making this a definite must have track for your arsenal.

Introspection sets out with a nice bright, sharp snare hit alongside various hats and cymbals before being joined by a punchy kick drum and deep lush bass. The drum section builds nicely creating a solid rhythmic mover as the groove intensifies with the addition of some seriously tough synths. Cool melodic arpeggios cascade through the sound while sinister vocals creep in. The break offers a surreal respite from the toughness of the main track before we get slammed right back into full on mode. Top notch stuff that will not disappoint.

The beautiful breakdown adds another slice of dreaminess before returning to its full glory for a peak time dance floor moment.

'Black Seed' is a great chunk of melodic techno, with its bubbling bass, its dirty twists and turns and acidic hints, while the melodics glisten through adding further texture.

Rounding things off Stan Kolev remixes Rainforest. His work has graced The Soundgarden, UV, Outta Limits and Bonzai, and was the ideal candidate to work his magic. Utilising the melodics from the original, but bringing oput the energy even more, this rework is a thing of beauty for the dance floor.'
