Bede Hemanta Eagle playing Sitar in the classical Hindustani style:  Alaap* for Raag Charukasi. 

*A Hindustani Raag is comprised of two main sections, the alaap and the drut. The Alaap is a rhythmically free section where mood is the Maharaja so to speak. In this section the scale and melodic structures of the main melody are gradually introduced. It's very technical and contains many subtleties. The notes relate to the chakras, so close you eyes and feel the vibrations....
