Litter front Drum samples the traditional Taiwanese festive piece Chiao Chien Drum (轎前鼓), a ceremonial rhythm performed during temple parades and deities’ processions. B E N N deconstructs and reassembles its percussive essence, transforming the ritualistic pulse into a tense and immersive study of electronic rhythm.

Rather than directly referencing the traditional form, B E N N fragments and reconfigures it—each strike distorted, stretched, and layered over heavy bass frequencies. The spiritual intensity of temple drumming is reborn through digital sound, morphing into a contemporary, club-oriented propulsion.

The title Litter front Drum symbolizes both fragmentation (litter) and confrontation (front). Here, the drum stands on the sonic frontline, reasserting the power of traditional percussion through digital disintegration. What once resonated through streets and rituals now re-emerges in the circuitry of modern sound.

As part of Hakka Drums II, the track continues B E N N’s ongoing inquiry into the thresholds between local percussive heritage and modern electronic expression—where tradition becomes texture, and rhythm becomes a language of transformation.

A new chapter for French label @sensory-cells begins. "A first edition, a first release, and the starting point of an adventure devoted to sensory exploration, music, and human collaboration. Born from the desire to connect science and art, matter and emotion, texture and perception, Sensory Cells envisions sound as a medium for sensation."

Project called "Metallic Initiation" opens the series of their Various Artists Compilations - a cycle of musical explorations devoted to exploring synesthetic links through music, around various subjects. For this first edition, metal becomes the thread, expressed through its textures, reflections, and raw sonic presence.

Guest artist H2O, together with the label’s founders Konalgad, Marine Tartine, and ergen101, deliver the debut 12’’ vinyl release of Sensory Cells. A deep sonic study woven with intricate sound design and atmospheres moving between broken techno, ambient, and the more enveloping sides of techno.

∎ When you say global club music, there is no better concrete musical example than Wrack. He is making rich and hybrid, truly global music, which is a modern and innovative mixture of many international genres. South African GQOM, Mexican tribal, Colombian guaracha, Brazilian baile funk, Jamaican dancehall, UK Funky, UK grime, US trap, vogue, and many others. Wrack blends all together and still maintains his signature style. When you hear Wrack's fast percussion, you instantly know it's his music.

∎ For this EP, he says: "In a world where streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music are becoming mainstream, the sampling culture of the past, such as SoundCloud, is disappearing. I thought that this was such a waste, so I created this piece using free-flowing samples. So I say the theme of this project is freedom. I just wanted to sample freely." The tracks Paru and Goi are accompanied by remix versions by our musical friends Jaijiu from Buenos Aires' Rebote Discoteca and J. Córdova from Chicago's Agua de Rosas.

∎ Wrack is often your favorite DJ's/producer's favorite producer. Brodinski, Sinjin Hawke, Zora Jones, Umru, Scratcha DVA, or Kaval, you can hear his music in their sets for sure. As a DJ, he is a resident at Hong Kong Community Radio (HKCR) and has contributed mixes to Boiler Room, Mixmag, NTS, Rinse, and i-D. He played shows both in Japan and abroad, including Mexico City, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Xi'an, Xiamen, Hong Kong, Taipei, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Sapporo, and many other places.

At first, there’s silence — the kind where you can hear it ringing: a soul split into thin shards, like porcelain. All that’s left is an outline — habits, a smile, moving along familiar routes. But inside, there are fractures where warmth keeps slipping away.

And then PashaRav appears, bringing not comfort, but a tool. Alma Rota feels like a box of petals laid out in perfect order: ten tracks, ten precise touches. He takes the first and presses it to the widest crack — not to hide it, but to stop it from bleeding. The second settles beside it, a seam stitched from rhythm. The third is a thin vein of light, so direction can return from within.

The bass in Alma Rota works like warm wax: it fills the voids and holds the edges together. The drums are a pulse that won’t let it fall apart while the fabric of the soul relearns how to be whole. The melodies are a thread that draws torn parts tight, leaving scars neat and honest. Track by track, he lays these petals over the breaks — and you feel the music itself becoming a bandage, a splint, a stitch.

So, petal by petal — all ten chapters of Alma Rota — the soul stops being “broken” and becomes held together again. Not the same as before. Better: alive. By the end, the cracks are still visible, but they no longer shatter — they hold their shape like gold solder on pottery: proof that PashaRav doesn’t erase pain, he turns it into strength.
